Have you guys "gotten used" to the clutch? I've driven it a few times, and I still can't get over how the clutch feels. I'm on the fence teetering on the buying side of it, but the clutch feel is holding me from going all the way over.

Anyways, just wanted to hear from you guys regarding this. Maybe if you have some tips or tricks to deal with it, that would be great!

Thanks,
Dave

Hey Dave,

I have gotten used to it now, it just takes some practice with it. I felt really comfortable after about 500 miles or so.

When I drove it Road Atlanta, it took a few laps to feel good about it and once I got used to it, I liked it. There's no guessing about when it's engaged.

Yes, it gets easier!! I had a tough time in the begining, going from an automatic to the stick was rough! It took me a couple of weeks, but now I'm really good at it! I'm just really thankful for the traction control, otherwise, I could have really embarrassed myself in the beginning.!

Thanks for the replies!

I have one I am looking at for $25k. Not a GT though. Kinda wanted the leather and sun roof, but no one around here will get it lower than $28k. I may either wait til Sept in hopes of price reduction, or just go with this Titanium one with no leather or sun roof.

Glad to know that the clutch gets more comfortable.

The cloth seats are really nice, you won't regret not going with leather. I had a moonroof on my P5 and don't have it anymore on the MS6, I got used to it.

I'm finally getting used to the clutch/shifting feel. It's not as performance feeling as I'm used to, and I'm trying to get better at shifting fast when really jumping on it. I mastered the STI and my former RX8, and could speed shift very well, but this one is more friendly in a daily sense, but a little tougher in a racing sense. I suppose a short throw upgrade could solve that, and probably improve those sub par 1/4 mile numbers. This is more of a luxury car then a drag/autocross car really, so it doesn't bother me. Much friendlier in traffic jams that's for sure. :)
