Ms6 Front Lip

Has anyone else had a a hell of time finding a front lip kit other than the Auto Exe or replica Auto Exe or the do it your self HP front lip. Dont get me wrong they are both nice...but I wish I could find something thats a little nicer.

I mean if you have a EVO or Sti or any other car besdies an MS6 there are countless different lips kits or bodykits to go with. I dont even want a full kit just looking for a nice front lip kit. Even the MS3 or the regular 6 has a ton of differnt kits made for it....I just dont understand why someone hasn't made a nice front lip for it.

Does anybody else feel the same way? Or does anyone know of a kit out there, besides AutoExe or Nextmod? If I dont find one I might just have to say F*@k it and order one for the 6 and hack it up to make it fit (custom).

i dont think anyone else makes them..though going with a regular 6 style and making it custom would probably be ur best bet

Most of the manufacturers are not going to stick their necks out for a best-case scenario of 10,000 units being sold. You figure out of the 10,000 MS6's in North America, only 2,500 of those people are looking to do any sort of modification. Out of those 2,500 there are probably only 800-1,000 who will look at buying their cosmetic product. That's the frustrating part about limited production specialty autos.

With that said, I'm right there with you on wishing there was something else out there. Unfortunately through countless hours of searching I've not found anything else. I think that you could probably make something for the Mazda 6 work and it would probably look really good, too! I'm probably going to look at something similar to the AutoExe carbon fiber lip but with some of my own modifications to it. Hell, I may even try to find a way to seamlessly graft it into the nosecone of my car.

Once this car is out of warranty (75,000 mile, March 2014 warranty) I'm probably going to go all out and use this as an SCCA race car. At that point, the car won't be worth a whole lot in a trade-in or sale but on the track it'll be goddamned amazing.

Tell me bout it....I think the whole scheme is nice. And from what I can tell this is an older piture....I haven't seen anyone rock those old TenzoR wheels in a while. I'm thinking '06 and I cant understand why if this company already has it, its no producing it....I think it the meanest Speed6 I've ever seen.

If you found someone crafty with bodywork and fiberglass you could probably have it made. It would likely be pretty expensive, but if it came out right I'm sure there would be many people willing to do a group buy. I'd be one of them.

My brother in law owns a custom paint shop and his brother owns a custom shop that specializes in custom one off kits and what not....he's done a few of the Kia cars for the Sema Show the last few years...so I have the place to get it done...I just know its gonna cost me but at this point I think thats going to be my only choice.

I've had that image open in a tab on Firefox for months. I frequently spend time staring at it longingly. I would also love to have more body modification options, but agree that we are unlikely to ever see anything. The only real possibility is if looks into custom manufacture and then does it as a group buy to reduce cost. It might help a bit, if the manufacturer can re-use the same moulds 10-20 times of whatever.

My brother in law owns a custom paint shop and his brother owns a custom shop that specializes in custom one off kits and what not....he's done a few of the Kia cars for the Sema Show the last few years...so I have the place to get it done...I just know its gonna cost me but at this point I think thats going to be my only choice.

have them make a mock up piece and then see what the interest is on here if they are willing to make like 10-20 or so of them im sure there's plenty of interest... id be one of them.

It sounds like Joser_Speed6 has the means and in half a day there has been quite a bit of interest. I'll bet if you threw a picture up of something just drawn up you'd double the number of folks interested. I'm up for this. Let me know what you want to do.

I'll do some research and get back to you guys once I know about how much and how long and see about maybe getting one done first and then going from there. It might take a while though

Not really my tastes, but some other may jump on board.

Yeah the whole thing is a one off...do you have link of these splitters you speak of?
