MS3 with "OEM" roof rack

wanted a roof rack - didn't like the way a yakima system (which i already had) would look given the long clips that the 3 would require. went with the Japanese OEM rack that japanparts.com had for a cleaner look.
price wasn't much more than a regular thule/yakima system.
installation was a cinch - just takes a willingness to do a little drilling through the raingutter insert.
yes, i felt a little guilty throwing a roof rack on the car as it gives up aerodynamics - but it's my daily driver and i surf, kayak and bicycle for fun.
it does have horrendous wind noise with the rack, but it's mitigated with the thule fairing... i hardly even realize it's there anymore at fast highway speeds (+75 mph).
these are pics without the fairing.

you don't have to drill anything if you swap the roof mouldings with the canadian ones because the roof rack IS offered as an option there

That roof rack looks EXACTLY like my protege5's roof rack. Is it the same thing?? I'll be giving my p5 back in the spring ,swapping it for a new 07 mazda3 sport. That would be sweet if the same roof rack fits.
