All I would like is to be able to mount Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s on my wheels once these Bridgestones wear out (and they might go quick depending on how many track days I go to this year). But it doesn't look like they are made in 215/45ZR18. In fact, do a search on TireRack and you come up with a very limited selection of replacement tires. For whatever reason, the only Pilots avail are the older ones at $311 each!!!!! Here's the entire list:

Even if you select an 18x8 replacement wheel, you're still limited. I don't get it. :(

they're offered in a 225/45/18 along with other options that aren't available in 215/45 according to tire rack. you could probably fit a 225 on there, right?

the 225 or the 40 series? 40 series = smaller sidewall so harsher ride, depending on width possibly slightly smaller overall diameter but not much. 225 = more tire = more traction = more fun

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
215/45-18 3.8in 12.8in 25.6in 80.5in 787 0.0%
225/40-18 3.5in 12.5in 25.1in 78.8in 804 -2.1%

it's .5 inches smaller or .25 at each side.

245/25.4=9.64width*.40=3.85sidewall*2=7.71+18=25.74"overall
215/25.4=8.46width*.45=3.81sidewall*2=7.61+18=25.61

25.61/25.74=.9949% match. this car was made for 245's

I think 1"is 2.52 cm right?
