Any word on the release date? I dont even have an MS3 yet but I drove one and noticed the shifts were really long. Makes me love my Pro 5.0 plus short stick (first)

I'm still anxiously waiting, too. My 2nd gear grinds ALL the time. It's like I have to force it in half the time. Awful tranny.

I am also experiencing difficulty with the shift into second. Any suggestions out there to make it smoother. Should the car be brought back to the dealer or will these aluminum bushing/short shifters alleviate the problem.

The AWR mount takes away the harsh shifting felt in the speed 3.

I had another mazdaspeed 3 owner with a totally stock speed3 drive my car yesterday and he was shocked at how easy the car was to shift.

You could a replacement mount or that DYI mount fill in with epoxy. I just filled it in and I thought it went very well. No problems to speak of. It was also 3 bucks, I thought it would be worth a shot. The gear changes are smoother but still needs help with a short throw.

Has anyone installed the aluminum bushings for the Speed3 yet? I wonder how easy it is to install, and what the results are?

I installed the bushings on the speed 3, Install was easy and only took 45 minutes, but I have installed a short shifter before in an 04 mazda 3 so it may take you longer. Shifter feel is greatly improved with no negative effects, like a vibration though the shifter. I haven't missed a shift since installing the bushings, before putting them in I frequently couldn't find third because it was never in the same place. Overall the mod is definately worth the money and the time it took to install. Shifts feel crisp and precise and the rubbery feel the ms3 has stock is gone.

Good to hear!!! Compared to the Steeda Tri-Ax on my 'stang, the MS3 shifter is like jello. Now someone has to come out with something for a shorter throw...damn cable linkage.

They have the Speed 6 shifter in production right now and will be out within the next few weeks. With that said the Speed 3 is in design right now and should show up for sale in about 2 months. That is what TWM told me on Thursday last week. The Speed 3 short shifter will come with the option of bushings or not. Depending on if you already have them or dont want them.

Thanks. I may go that route and skip the mount. It's night and day difference in the vibration dept when switching between my P5 (70 duro mounts) and the MS3.

street unit might be coming out with a 62 duro mount and their website claims it prevents vibration while improving durability.

I was just checking out the TWM site, and they have a SS for the Axela 2004-up. I thought that was the same car as the MS3? What's taking so long, btw? This shouldn't be a 3 month R&D process.
