MS3 Short Shifter?

Cobb is also making a double adjustable short shifter, whatever that means. Hopefully it will be released soon

I think the problem is finding someone with a ms3 that can be without their car. Plus TWM likes to do a lot of testing before they sell their products.

I was just checking out the TWM site, and they have a SS for the Axela 2004-up. I thought that was the same car as the MS3? What's taking so long, btw? This shouldn't be a 3 month R&D process.
Axela is the JDM name for the entire 3 line. The MS3 has a different transmission (6-speed) and shifter than the standard Axela/3 cars.

Oh, OK. I thought it was the same as the MS3. (hippy)

aluminum shifter cable bushings?

I installed the bushings on the speed 3, Install was easy and only took 45 minutes, but I have installed a short shifter before in an 04 mazda 3 so it may take you longer. Shifter feel is greatly improved with no negative effects, like a vibration though the shifter. I haven't missed a shift since installing the bushings, before putting them in I frequently couldn't find third because it was never in the same place. Overall the mod is definately worth the money and the time it took to install. Shifts feel crisp and precise and the rubbery feel the ms3 has stock is gone.

Where did you buy the Aluminum shifter cable bushings? Do you have a pic?

jerky shifting into second gear

I am also experiencing difficulty with the shift into second. Any suggestions out there to make it smoother. Should the car be brought back to the dealer or will these aluminum bushing/short shifters alleviate the problem.

Thanks

I have the same problem on my Mazda3 GT 5speed. I wonder if replacing the shifter cable bushings (not the base bushings that attach the shifter to the floor of the car) with aluminum ones will help? Does anyone know where to buy aluminum shifter cable bushings? Do they come with the MS3 sport shifter or the TWM short shifter?

I did take the vehicle in to the dealer for the miss shift into 2nd. They told me the issue was normal and there is nothing they can do. OK, Dont buy it.
