MS3 owners...help please.

I paid sticker for my sport @ $23,500, then add taxes, tags, freight. I also added the EPP inside & out & the extended warranty. I'm financing through my credit union. Total I paid was $26,352. The monthly payment is going to be something like $360. I'm not sure what the insurance is going to be yet. In Northern VA they would not budge on the price mainly because they are going like crazy here and the dealerships are only getting so many per location & some of them are not getting any. For example, Browns Mazda in Fairfax, VA is getting 1 more for the 2007 year and is only alloted to get 13 for the 2008 year. They were cool as sh*t for not raising the price, but they also wouldn't bring it down either.

What's EPP? ^_^a The only EPP I know of is related to computers (working in the IT field).

Paid $25,500 out the door for a cosmic blue GT.
5.99% for 5 years -> comes out to be about $493/ month
I opted not to get the service plan only because I probably
won't have the same car 4 years from now.
Personally, I think the service plan is a good value for anyone willing to keep
their cars for a while (especially for someone like me who doesn't know
much about the mechanics).
I'm still shopping for insurance; the rate will probably be higher than my RSX.

I have to agree with turbogirl about the pricing in this area.
I was lucky to pay MSRP for my GT, and regardless of the pricing issue
my dealership experience was excellent, so I was happy.
I just hope their service dept. is just as good.

Funny thing is... I still have yet to see a single MS3 on the road. -_-a
(well... except for mine that is)

Thought i would share my deal

Silver Gt MS3
24,050.00 free tint
6500 trade in
6 year 75k service plan
6.4% on 72months at 337.80 a month

I felt good to get the car for 500 under sticker, but i spent 4 hours haggling my trade in. Intially they wanted to give me 3000.00 for my trade (2k VW GTI GLX) after telling them literially to F&$k Off! arguing and etc. i got them to get my trade to a decnt price. my car was apraised 4 times in 2 hours, by the same guy, everytime. He would mention something he thought was bad, i'd show receipts that he was full of it. Biggest thing that helped me ,amazingly, was the VW had 8k miles on a new motor . Last feb the timing chain broke and so did the motor. VW covered it under warranty. I'm pretty sure when i showed him 4 pages of reciepts from VW, showing warranty work, he finally gave me a fair trade in price.

i can't even imagine having a 500/month payment.

Oh insurance is 310 every 6 months, but i have USAA (military INS sorta) they are damn near impossible to beat in INS prices.

I am also looking to buy a MS3 and was curious what everyone was paying a month for insurances, monthly payments, and otd price for the car. As i was reading through every1 monthly payments, half of you guys are paying way to much, something in the range of $29000-$31000, how is this possible. High $475 payments for 72-80 months, idk am i missing something or is that what you guys are really paying.

mine was $29,495. $5,000. dollar markup i talked them down to $1,995. mark up and still got screwed. I bought it in the Sacramento ,ca area, they markup everything cus some sucker is gonna pay it.(me) my payments are $423.00 a month for 84 months(the only way to make it low enough to add 100,000 mile warranty, turbo is only covered to 36,000 miles ) and ins. is $1085 a year.

Wow, I thought I got screwed paying flat sticker! It looks like some people are paying mark-up.

I wanted one of the first ones so that I could b**** about the rev. A problems with impunity (kidding!). Actually, my old car was a 1990 Oldsmobile Delta '88 with 155k miles. I really needed a car, fell in love with the MS3 and with all the great press, I was afraid there'd be markups and shortages.

Edited to add: I'm paying about $400-$500 insurance through Geico and the car is registered in NC. That may go up after I get to LA :( . I have a far-from-perfect driving record, but my last ticket is almost 2 years back.

Paid 400 under MSRP for my (wife's) Cosmic Blue Sport. Paying 437/month with 2000 down for 72 months. Insurance I will have to look up.

437*72= 31,464

You're paying 10k more in interest? Or was it a typo and you're paying 337 (Still with 337 for 72 months your paying around 6k interest.. that's not good bro.)

When I get my GT [July, should they still have a black mica. otherwise i have to waitfor '08 :( ] I'm hoping to put close to 10k down. maybe 8k. Get a loan for around 17k with either Navy Federal or USAA, low 5-6% rate, around 350 monthly payments :).

wow ....

wow, okay so you are all getting ****** ... my car payment is $243 a month at 6% ...

but i have a horrible driveing record and im only 19 ... so my insurance in like $265 a month

yeah thats pretty crazy I just ordered mine but its a Metropolitain grey GT with wheel locks and auto dim rear view mirror for 26000 otd including a 6 year warranty and ziebarts rust protection thrown in. I'm financing 17,000 at 5.00% so monthly payments are going to be 320 a month and 150 for insurance so total 470 for the car monthly all together

My plan is to buy a Used 2007 GT for around $20k from either a private party or dealer. Then I will probably sell my current car for around $6-8k and finance through my bank with these low rates. I'm looking to get under $300/month and insurance shouldn't be an issue. There have been a surprising number of speed's go up for sale in the last couple of months. I'm just waiting for the right one to come up!

My payment for my MS6 is $343.43 for 72 mo. with $3,000 down. I was able to get a solid interest rate through the bank my mom works at.

As far as insurance goes, mine is about $92 a month. No points/tickets and no accidents for over 4 years.

If I were the OP, I would just hold onto your 3 until it becomes cost effective to trade in/up. Right now the value of the car and your total you owe aren't anywhere close, wait until they level out a bit more. No sense digging a deeper hole for yourself.

Got my 08 Speed3 GT with everything aside from the fugly satin fuel door and nav for like 24,800 OTD.

3 year loan, $556/mo -- insurance is 131/mo for full coverage and $0 deductible.

i was able to pay invoice on my ms3 sport. $21.5k
i added the wheel/tire warranty for $1k.
i tied the taxes ($1100) into my payment.
i put $3500 down.

i don't have bad credit, just don't have much...yet :D

$450 a month
$190 insurance

well worth every penny.
