What is everyone getting for miles per tank of gas ? I have not been on a trip with mine yet, but around town 60 city/40 freeway 280 miles when the gas light came on was all I got. Just wondering what everyone else is getting.

I'm averaging 22mpg, thats not bad considered the winter fuel mix and the fact that it's idles always for at least ten minutes on every start.

In the summer I averaged anywhere from 25 to 28 depending on driving.

So I went through my first tank of gas the other day and I went to fill up when the gas light came on. I filled up the tank with only 11.9 gallons.

I did the straight ratio method and came up with about 23mpg.

If I'm not mistaken, this car has a 14.5 gallon tank. Is there really ~2.5 gallons left after the gas warning light comes on?

Yeah, I've driven an additional 60+ highway miles after the gas light came on (not a good idea, bad for the fuel pump, but there were literally no gas stations for that long), and I put a bit over 13 gallons in.

Seems like all the numbers match up pretty well, I have driven with a tank on mostly highway and mostly city and got the following...

90% Highway: 300 mi / 12 gal = 25 mpg
90% City: 240 mi / 12 gal = 20 mpg

These numbers seem much more accurate. We should make this the official end-all gas mileage thread with the format;

Miles Driven: (highway/city/winter/summer)
Gallons burned: calc MPG:
I usually fill up at:
I shift at: RPM
I generally cruise at: RPM
I go into top gear at: MPH
My driving habits resemble: __________

The trip computer is too subject to influence and simple calculation, so don't use it.

I'll go first

Miles driven: 222mi city, winter (-30F)
Gallons burned: 13.23 MPG: 16.78
I usually fill up at: SHELL, v-power
I shift at: 2500 rpm
I generally cruise at: 2100 rpm
I go into top gear at: 60 MPH
My driving habits resemble: An angry nun

at the half tank. but first i ran a can of seafoam picked up 20 to that tank try running 76 gas

i swear i must have the worst mileage of anybody, esp for the conditions. the last tank i purposedly drove like a grandma just to see the upper limit, but my daily commute is 6 mi strictly city. best i could do [true #] is 18.7 mpg; computer said 20.1...(shrug)

my commute is 11 miles each way by street
i am lucky if i get 230-240 miles to the tank.

i only have a cobb sri and hks ssqv.
during the summer before i put the ssqv on, i was getting 280-300 wtf
wonder if the ssqv is making me lose mileage, and no i'm not gunning it just to hear it anymore, i only did for the first 3 tanks after the install :)
