umm what does it sum up? everything that was discussed already....s*** suspension and s*** tires. You guys need to go venture out to nosiac.com. REad up a little on the 06 wrx. Some poeple have hit 13.7-13.8 bone stock at 98mph with 1.7 60s. The tires are garbage, the suspension is too soft, upgrade those two and the subbie will have the edge in handling. But ok your just gonna post no its not despite the numerous PROOF out there so im done here

In all these videos they are comparing stock to stock vehicles. Not everyone that owns either of these cars is going to do a lick of work to them.
How many full suspension upgrade ms3's are out there? How can you compare your idea of a fully modded ms3 to wrx's that people have already fully modded.

^^and to add to that with the same tires the ms3 will more than likely still kick its ass. Plus to get anything under 14 in the quarter with the rex requires a tranny-destroying 5k + rpms clutch dump.
Because everyone and their mother drives a wrx and maybe 4 people on this forum have ever autocrossed the ms3. Give it some time and I'm sure you will see the ms3 at nationals winning.

msp arnt winning anything nationally...nice try. The ms3 has been out one year already, trust me if it was turning heads people would know about it. Instead of bench racing...go participate in an autox event. ITs a lil differnt than taking an off ramp in 3rd gear and watching the lil traction light light up
I didn't say nationals. Just talking about a more popular ds car that is fwd.
if it isnt national it doesnt mean much. Local autox events dont really mean s***, its just a good time. I was tri state champ in a specv, trust me i would get my ass handed to me in that car on a national level.

People complain of a lack of rotation on the MS3, but I can whip this thing around just fine. 4 wheel drift on a FWD car? Possible with an MS3 (hint: Turn off all electronic stability controls, and be careful!)

If you want to hear a funny short story about WRX's and MS3's...I was driving on surface streets last evening, and in the middle of my route, I was caught by a swarm of WRX's and STi's. The majority of them were modified. I counted about 7 of them. I kept up mid-pack while they were cruising, and luckily nobody started an impromptou street race, because I would have lost to the STi's, no doubt. It reminds me of when the "big kids" of school walk alongside the "little kids", and thus nobody messes with either. I just ran along them, and kept my spooling and BPV sounds to myself...lol.

in this price range, yeah, definitely the MS3 takes the cake. let's wait for the new STI to come out.

dont think you cant beat an sti from a roll, cause you certainly can depending on mods. Stock for stock he might edge you out. If hes stock and you an intake you might actaully pull him. I pulled an 06 evo mr when i had an intake, passed 100mph it was rather wierd how i just slowly drove around him lol, no he didnt shut down he was on it.

Go ahead and make your ms3 awd lol, once you figure it out, you will still get spanked by the wrx. You think the wrx has a stiff sport suspension? You my friend are flat out wrong. You are also flat out wrong about tires not being able to make up .05gs. TIRES ALONE can put a wrx over the 1g limit. Take both cars, change nothing but tires, put both car on r coumpounds and get ready....the wrx will win. Tires alone are by far the best mod you can do when it comes to handling, suspension just tunes out the little things here and there. The wrx is not a tuned impreza, the STI is a tuned impreza. The wrx really hasnt changed that much sinze 02.
I never said the two dont compare, so i dont know where you got that from. I said the two compare and in stock form the ms3 is better, in the modded form the wrx kicks its ass in both drag racing, road racing and autox. You do realize that all you have to do is buy an air filter and a 90 dollar obd port cable and tune the wrx for FREE right. With those two mods alone you will be runnning low low 13s at 103ish. THe new 06 plus wrx has more potential than the sti, the compression ratio is slightly higher and it can make more power easier. Power aside though, when it comes to handling im sorry but when both cars are "ALL OUT" but go apply for a loan, the ms3 will still not beat a wrx. Go read up on what wrxs are doing in the world, the type of power they are putting down and the type of events are the dominating.
LOL! show me someone that changed ONLY the tires and was able to pull a 1.00+ skidpad on an '06 wrx. You're smoking crack. You can't make up .18g's with JUST tires.
And how is a wrx not a tuned impreza? Unless the base imprezas at the dearlerships near you come with turbos and modified suspensions, they're clearly tuned. You're once again smoking crack.
As for the impreza pulling low 13's, thats nice... given that the impreza has been around for what, 5 more years? give the speed3 5 years and we'll have enough parts to tune it for very cheap. its already a well known fact that the msp3 is running very rich. modify the intake, tune the car and i'd find it hard to believe that the msp3 can't run 13's.
and yea, wrx's might be able to do really well with parts that are available for them right now, but again, they have 5 more years of r&d. if you want to talk about all out, do some r&d for the msp3 and then lets see where we're at.
and seriously, stop trying to reference your lame autox experience and whatnot. thats all you can say. everytime someone makes a point that trumps anything you say, you always go back to "i have 6 years of experience.. bla bla bla... look at the standings now". granted the wrx might have better results at autox right now, but the msp3 has barely been out for a year. and your 6 years of experience autoxing could just mean you've been subpar for 6 years. it doesn't mean anything. thats just your defense when someone else brings up a valid point. like i said, go look up what logical fallacies are before you continue to debate your point. you might be able to race, but i'm doubting your ability to debate and bring across a valid point.
