There was some speculation as to the rates people would be seeing prior to the car being released. I'd like to know what you guys are paying now, and if possible a couple stats as to marital status, driving record status and age group.

I'm married, 34 (almost 35) and I pay roughly $700/yr for the MS3. No tickets or accidents on record (anymore).

32, Married, I have some performance awards but none of them are reckless and no accidents. My wife is squeaky clean (and constantly reminds me of that fact)
I pay $900 a year 300/100/300 with 500 deds. I have 6 other vehicles on my policy though so I get a multi-car and a break for my house being insured through them as well.

USAA(doughpoke

Damn. I'm going to be 28, I just did the math and I'm paying 2100 a year for 300/100/300 on 3 of my cars with a squeeky clean record. I also have home owners and life insurance through them. Then again, I'm in the north east. Insurance rates up here are usually higher due to population density. More idiots = more risk

dman, i dn't own a MS3, but my insrance..well..so the wife and me with both cars is up to 4000$ with a 1000 deduct....

dman,,,i pay too much!

That's only part of the equation. The old swampster used to underwrite for a not to be named insurance company (think cavemen)
Your rates are determined by a statisitical analysis over a broad range of factors. Not just bad drivers. If the Mazda3 has a high theft history in your area, your comprehensive/theft coverage will reflect that. If you have a high rate of cars sliding off roads in foul weather, your collision will reflect that.
If your state has a high number of insureds from your company, you will see a slight increase as well. Why? Because people from your insurance company will statistically have a higher rate of crashing into people with the same company. Double payouts suck for insurers.
The further south you go, the less insurance usually will cost as long as you can stay away from metro areas. Except for NC. That state is AFU with ceeded/nonceeded rates and what have you. I'd rather chop off a leg than write for NC again.

28 almost 29
wife no kids (one wreck for her, not her fault)
3 cars and house ins through USAA
306.00 every 6 months for the MS3 500$ deduct but only 50,000 on property coverage everything else raised. I plan on bumping it up soon.

Last year my VW cost me 420 every 6 months then it dropped this year to 289ish per 6 months. the MS3 rasied it 17.00 but my wifes SUV went up almost 80.00 due to her wreck. :(

26 and divorced living in Los Angeles
Clean record up until someone hit my Protege5 right before Christmas... Not at fault accident but we all know that means jack s***.

I pay about 1000 every six months/$175 a month with Progressive.

Oh, and I'm a LIBRA.. haha

Over 30 with a child, divorced. I pay just over $100 a month with a P5 (full coverage) and liability only on the MS3. I just call the insurance company if I take the MS3 on a trip and upgrade to full coverage for a set time period.
I have 1 last ticket on my record, 3 more months til it goes away.

Is that per car or for all three? I live in CT, too. I switched companies and my rate plummeted. I'm racking my brain about the name of the company...

I have 3 of my cars insured on the same policy. The 4th is still being restored so theres no point. I go through Amica, recently added my wife to this policy and it's cheaper than it was with both of our policies separate. So yeah, 3 cars, one of which is high performance and it's 235 a month 9 months out of the year for a full years coverage. They're weird like that. Let me know who you have. I havent changed insurance company's since 2000 or so due to Amica's no hassle policies. Felt it was worth any extra pay.

27/Single in W. LA. I priced my insurance at my uncle's house in whittier. Paying $600 w/esurance. Not the greatest but needed to find something asap. Have 300/100/300 but $1000 deductibles

22/not married
I pay 289.xx a month for full coverage on the MS3, I have I think 4 tickets that are currently on my record though. 1000 dollar deductable.

Damn it man, thats almost my MS3 monthly note.

Need to slow down, or do what i did for my younger years. GO to a foreign country. I spent 4 years in korea from 21-25, came back with no tickets and had a blast driving there. Lets see though i replaced the following items on my old golf F/R bumpers, L mirror twice, R mirror once, 1 fender , and an Oil pan. Other than the Oil pan(tried to rally race the golf, speed bump won) all the other panels were replaced due to someone hitting me. Koreas are horrible drivers.

came back to states and have decently cheap rates now.

Jeez, I can't believe how much some people are paying for insurance! For full-coverage on my MSP, $500 / $250 deduct. (1 accident 4 years ago and 2 speeding tickets 5+ years ago - looks like I've settled down a bit!!) ... 27 and single, I'm paying a little over $350 a half.

Also forgot to mention I've had my car ran into a countless number of times which also makes it go up substantially.
1)Old lady ran a light and t-boned my first car.
2)Brand new truck after replacing first car sitting in my front yard and my
mom backed into it.
3)New Eclipse lady backs out of a sonic stall into my door and I had just
drivin it there from the dealership.
4)One of my friends rearends the same eclipse totaling his car.
5)Some young person pulls out of a parking space and rams the front end
of my srt and totals it(7K miles)
6)Sentra SE-R gets rearended by a Dodge 1500 doing about 40mph while I'm
sitting at a red light and get pushed into a mustang.

Just to give you an idea of how bad insurance is in Ontario...

Male 23, single, clean record.
1 vehicle - 2006 Mustang GT = $3000/yr

Is that CAD or US? I was paying about what I'm paying now for just the Mustang when I was your age. Im going to two dealerships this weekend, one in 10 minutes. This is going to cause me some trouble.

I remember paying $4000/ year at one point when I was 19.

Now I'm 27 (turning 28) and single. I pay $800 every six months for 50k property/ $250/ $500 deductible (comp/ collision).

BTW, I do have 3 "driving awards" (as Swapass noted) from 2 years ago.
