Ms3 gt hid

Looking at giving my MS3 a little more umph in the headlight area. What is the bulb code for the HID's ie H11,h7 and so on. Debating on just replacing the bulbs or looking into the plug and play ones but still need the code regardless. Would like to probably just do bulbs though for the simplicity and the cost.
are they called something like a D2s bulb, and if i was to go for an hid kit would i want 34 or 55w?

um, if you have a GT, it should have hid's already from the factory....if you have a sport model like myself, H7 is the bulb type for the low beams. and you're better off just getting HID's cause the cost of the HID's have gone down considerably over the years. plus, you won't get a high output on normal halogen aftermarket bulbs. 55w is basically brighter than 35w, even though 35w is still brighter than factory headlights.... 35w is simple plug and play, and 55w connects relays and stuff directly to your battery (recommended.)

+1 on the lenses. They bump the output up and focus the light better for a crisp butoff. I have them and love them. They will help out so much. Mine are 35w 5000k from DDM.

The value ones are only 40 bucks Im sure they arent even bad prolly few scratches that wont affect them.

actually....the value ones are $30...it's a $40 discount..... i know cause i just purchased them... total $37.94

I upgraded my sport with the 55w ddms 6000. Are the lenses the same on the sport and the Gt or not? I know my cut off is not super crisp and I dont think I am blinding people but dont drive much at night either.

The lenses are the same size. You can put the clear lenese on either GT or sport projectors.

NO these are not in the projector lenses, but to give you a side by side comparison, the left (240sx) has 35w 6000k HID's, mine on the right has 55w 8000k HID's, both are the same brand kit, Xenon-Vision. But this is the difference for higher up numbered lights.

ok, just finished installing the lense. will let the sealant dry overnight.... what i noticed about the clear lenses is not so much that they're "clearer" than the factory lenses....it's more like the new lenses are "in focus" better....when i took off the factory lense, i looked through it and noticed the objects on the other end were out of focus...when i did the same with the new lense, it was clear and in focus....can't wait til tomorrow to put my lights back on my car....

oh yeah, to those that put the new lenses on,,,,, those rings that came with the lenses, were they supposed to go on between the lense and the housing ? i sure do hope so cause that's what i did.....

That is correct sir. They go in between.
