MS3 exhaust question

Hi,
I recently bought a Ms3 exhaust (from a forum member) and I was wondering, do i have to have it welded on in place? (I dont know if thats possible) Or can i just take the exhaust (in two pieces) and have them weld it together and put it on my self?
Thanks,
tviko

It seems those selling thier MS3 cat backs are having them cut to avoid having to remove the rear suspension or subframe. I'd guess the same would be true in reverse, have it hung on the hangers, then welded up

Alright, well after 3 autobody shops telling me they cant do it, and 4 shops (2 being muffler shops) telling me that it would cost from $150 to $280. I finally a muffler (Meineke) being able to install my MS2 exhaust on my MZ3 for $85.
I just have one question: why is it so loud! I heard sound clips on youtube (yes ms3 exhausts on mz3s) and Ive heard speed3s up close drove in them and theyre not that loud. Is there any reason for this? It sounds great at low idle but start up is super loud.
Might get some time to get used to, well see.

Did the muffler shop, just cut off the old muffler up to a point and weld the new one on, or did they remove anything extra like a resonator or something?

Thats what i thought but the whole thing was replaced with the new MS3 exhaust from the cat back. I still have the exhaust from the mz3 just in case i want to switch back.

I have an MS3 CBE on my mz3 and it is kinda loud, but I don't think anything of it. there are certain higher rpms that will make it sound like its nothing (for instance try driving 70 in 5th gear i think thats around 3-3.2k rpms). I do have an injen intake with it as well and i can still hear my music :). how is it with you?

Yea it seems excelerating its super loud almost ricey, like i just put a cherry bomb on. Traveling at like 70ish on the highway its nice i can hear a little deeper growl but i didnt think it would be this loud. When im excelerating its even vibrating the inside of my car. Low and behold I think im going back to the muffler shop and putting mz3 muffler back on. ugh!!!

try replacing the second resonator (closest to the muffler) with a magnaflow muffler part #12616. it'll help a lot with the droning
