I'm looking at getting a downpipe and i need suggestions on which one i should go with?
1. Corksport
2. TurboXs
3. CP-E
thanks!

What are you looking for exactly? Do you need the system to be catted? If so, then your only choice is CP-E; unless you want to go with CS and keep the 2nd cat in place, but thats kind of dumb, since you'll be freeing up straight out of the turbo just to smack into the 2nd cat... For that, you might as well just stick with a test-pipe/mid-pipe; that will yield you 20 or HPs...

I haven't heard good things about TurboXs... (I may be wrong though)

Good luck!!

Oh, also BEGi is coming out with a DP later next year...mid to end of the year.

Yep, I talked to Stephanie about it yesterday, I didnt know if anybody else knew about it.

But, she told me that they would start trying to get it mocked up in either January/February or April, depending on what else is going on at the shop around that time.

I didn't want to wait till the end of next year for a DP, so I ordered a CP-E. BEGi is kind of slow when it comes to releasing a new product. I really wanted a divorced gases DP, but even BEGi said its not a guarantee that theirs will be a divorced gases design...

same thing that they told me.
Hopefully I will be the test car for this, so I should be kept up to date about everything. Stephanie said that if there is room for it, it will divorced gas, but if not, then it wont. I have plenty of time to wait for a downpipe, so that's what I'm doing. I would really prefer it to be in January or February rather than April, but we'll see.

If you want the corksport with a divorced design, you can get the Vibrant with the high flow cat in the midpipe section, to go along with it. This will get you a full 3" TBE with cat for emissions.... just two components and they mate well.

Talk to ProtegeGarage and theyll probably work out a deal for you....if you buy both. I think this setup will make the best gains, it sounds awesome and it will save you hundreds compared to CPE.

To me it wasnt even a question....I will have my Corksport out of the hatch and on the car soon, but there are already guys who have posted regarding it. I believe both Craigjr and Nutari are running this setup.

I would go with CPE if I was getting a DP now. I'm waiting for cobbs for now and see what it looks like before I make a purchase.

i'm slowwww...

So which one? lolz (explain why you pick this one over the other please)
1. CP-E
2. Vibrant
thanks everyone.

Well I have the CPE full TBE, and I am very much happy with it. If you would like to hear it just look me up on you tube. jubanqt is my screen name there on you tube. I have one high flow cat and 12" muffler. There craftsmanship is amazing. The whole system was so beautiful that I didn't even want to use it, just wanted to mount it on my wall...lmao

If you want one now, get the CPE with the cat.
I'm pretty sure there are people witht he corksport that have had check engine lights and stuff like that beacuse of the fact it doesnt have a cat, if I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
Also, the cpe replaces the dp and the midpipe.
That's the one I'd go for if I was going to get one right now.

why is CP-E downpipe cost so much more then the Corksport one?? difference? which is better?.. i dont care about emissions right now.

Getting the CPE downpipe would be the same as if you were to get the corksport plus a race pipe, so really, its not that much more. the cpe is around 550 from some vendors, then the corksport is 350 + a 150 dollar race pipe, so it's not bad. Get whichever one you like the sound of best.

I don't really know about the corksport, but the CPE is mandrel bended and tig welded with .304 stainless steel and of course like numbnuts (lol) has stated it is one piece as the corksport is two. It really is amazing once you see it first hand.

I've also been told that the CP-E design with the flex joint is a better performer in the long run... Supposedly, a rigid system like CS might induce stress on the welds...especially with a stock engine mount.

doesnt the cp-e dp has a cat in it unlike the corksport one? wouldnt that make a diff. in hp?

i'm guessing your going with the catted one.. correct?

Yeah, I'm going with the catted one... I've had non-catted exahust systems on other cars and its not all that great with a daily driver.
Plus I have been told by CP-E and PG that quite a few customers that bought the non-catted version came back 4-5 months later begging for a cat to be put in cause their brand new car stunk of fuel...

4HP is not a significant loss to me... I can make it up by changing the CBE, upgrading the TMIC, fuel pump and/or adding an ECU...
