MS3 clunkiest shifting gear change?

First, I love my Speed3. Had it for a year now and over 30,000 miles driven including a half dozen track events.

But I continue to experience a clunky, notchy shift on the 1st-2nd gear almost daily. It's nothing that I can't live with, but it does frustrate me sometimes. Mostly because I'm so aware of it and do everything possible to prevent it.

By no means does it happen with every 1-2 shift. Maybe 10% of the time. I frequently (when not needing to hurry) make sure to pause momentarily in the neutral center position before moving it down to 2nd gear. Sometimes, even with the clutch pedal to the floor, I can feel that notchiness. It doesn't grind.....as often. Just a noticable clunk that you can feel through the gear shifter.

Anybody with similar experiences? Or post/gripe about something else you find a bit annoying about the 6MT.

I'll say it again, I truly enjoy driving my Speed3 and don't mean to flame it. (headbang)

get some shifter bushings and an engine mount and that will solve a lot of problems.

sometimes i get wierd s*** and my gear barely goes in....duno y but i have delrin mm and it has reduced alot of clunky ness and i havent missed a gear the upgrade

I've never experienced shifting issues you guys meantion. Before I installed my engine mount, I did have slight, very slight issues shifting into 3rd. But nothing major...

I must be living right; my dead stock MS3 shifts just fine- even today when the ambient temps hovered in the teens.

I notice when I was shifting fast or going all out I would slightly put pressure downward as i was shifting and i think that is what was causing my 2nd gear grind . Doesn't do it if I only use two fingers and pull back with an upward motion . i'm guessing because you have to push down to get it in reverse that maybe what has happened to me .
