MS3 and CSRT4 Road and track camparison...

says it all:

"To me, this car is a step in the wrong direction, and I say bring back the Neon! Clearly the Mazdaspeed3 has little to fear from an SRT4 Caliber."

Did they forget how to drive the MS3 in a straight line? Look at the poor 1/4 mile performance. 14.5@96.4 MPH?!? 0-100 in 16.4? UGH.

Usually its just an average, or how your every day driver would nab it. I've seen off times all over the place. One review I saw once had a Suzuki Hayabusa and a Kawasaki ZX-14 running high tens/low elevens.

Guilty! My first pass on my Hayabusa was 11.2 haha
(humpleg)

How can something with larger brakes have less swept area?

Dodge : F 495sq inches R: 307
Mazda: F 506 sq inches R: 318

calber srt 4 is not that bad at all, but i know this is a mazda forum and everyone puts down everything else

I didn't think pads played into it. I have always thought that swept area is the area in which the pads can "sweep". As in total friction area of a disc or drum.
