MS cams and CEL

I helped a friend install these cams in his P5. The install went fine, but the next day the CEL came on. Is this normal?

either you ask this same question on the "other" board...or there are two of you out there that did the same thing and had the same thing happen...lol.

and just in case it wasn't you.....

Normal? well....SOMETIMES, when the ECU sees something different than its use to...it will cause the CEL to come on, this doesn't necessarily mean that something is WRONG, just different. IF the car is running what appears to be normal, what I would do is reset the ECU, then start it up and allow it to idle for a short time, about 10 minutes, allowing the ECU to "relearn" what is normal, then continue to drive it normally.....IF the CEL returnes....I would start to look deeper, it may or may not be an issue tied to the Cams.....as there are plenty of members that have installed the cams and have not experienced a CEL.

I have the cams, and have Never seen the CEL. I'd reset the ECU, and take it from there.
