mazda MPV
I have a question my MPV had been making a humming sound which came from the the air filter box I pulled out the filter and it looked fine but now this moring it will not crank. It will turn over but I get no fire it just turns over. Also both of my rear door handles have broken off I thought the first might be from the kids but the other day the on on the driver side came off. I didnt close it that hard. My MPV is a 2001 model and im starting to get sick of Mazda My door hadles fall off now it wont crank can somone give me a clue why it wont crank and let me know if mazda has had issues in the past with door handles.
Thanks FREE

so it turns over but does not start? when you pulled the housing off to get to the filter did you put the throttle body back together right? Are the cables all still connected? When you attempt to start the van can you smell gas, can you tell if anything is coming out of the pipe? raw fuel odor? If you smell gas in either place you have no spark. Follow the plug wires to the module and check that out? Check all connections that are on top of the manifold? I have the 2001 MPV too (well, my lovely wife does) and we have never had a door handle fall off? Weird...

Yea I just took out the filter it was several days ago and it ran fine but this morning it will not crank.

It was real easy it was mounted on the left rear of the intake manifold. Remove the 2 bolts(10mm) unplug the electrical wire and replace with new one. She runs like a new MPV and It only took 20 mins to replace. I also replace one of my rear door handles and it only took 25-30 mins. I cant take all the credit I would not had known how to do any of it if it wasnt for www.mpvclub.com/forum. I joined this morning and thanks to their forum I saved $200-$300.
