MPI Tuner Library

I hat do be a DA but I am putting a MSP swap on my MP3 with new MPI tuner and turbo module, 3 inch catless dp and 3 inch exhaust, fmic, stock boost (for know) MP3 ecu ,stock calloway manifold and turbo and s pipe. Any maps for this setup or similar?? I am new to tuning and need it as easy as it can get? Sorry to be a retard. I am installing the MPI tonight and need something to get me going to work in the morning. Thanks guys.

Big Tim i will be getting my MAM kit this weekend and i wanted to know if you have the up todate install instructions along with the a good base map for the regular protege Ecu's? I have the black and grey box one that was sold as part of the first gen kit of the Street sleeper kit. but i would like to have a copy on my desk top just in case i find out that my instructions don't match up. PM me if you need to. just want to make sure i get it done right the first time. Also i will be running the X2 injector kit on mines and plan on running 8.5-9psi. so if you have a base map that would be coo,

jtmp3--I sent you a PM, you can call me if you need help when you do the tuning. I wouldn't recommend installing a turbo kit during the week if it's your first time. I would wait until the weekend or when you can have at least 2 FULL days to do the job. That way in case something was missed, you have time to get the parts you need. It is an all day job, and an extra day, just in case, is always good to have.....especially if you have never done it before.

Killer--I have a base map only for you to use. The instructions I posted in the MPI help thread will work. Since you have xtra injectors DO NOT use the purple turbo module wires, or yellow if you have them, it will make it easier to tune. I have an 8psi map that I use that should work pretty good to start you out. Your turbo will come on quicker then mine, so you will need to add more fuel then me down low, so you will have to do boost tuning, but the off boost should be close. Let me know if you need help.(thumb)

Turbo kit on and running but I can't get past like 3000rpm's because it will boost and I haven't installed the mpi but that will be done tonight. Sounds good though.

Still not tuned huh? You're almost as much of a procrastinator as I am......my s*** isn't even tuned all the way yet either, I don't want to mess with it after helping poeple with theirs. Mine is close, but not perfect like before, one day when I feel like it. You still have my number, give me a call if I can help, but you and that auto is all chinese to me.(rei)

haha....i think we can get it though..when i go balls to the wall at 5psi i'm like 11.2 so it's safe...it's down low before boost that's kinda funky...i have faith in you man!! Zai4 jian4!

I didn't get the PM Tim are you sure you sent it?

Son of a b****!!! I'm sorry man, I got mixed up. I'll hit you back later on with the map in a PM.....sorry.

Hey guys: I'll be installing a GT28RS and running 5.8 psi soon... I'd like to see a base map for this set-up if anyone has something.
I wont be running extra injectors, at least for now.

You can use any of the maps out there to get the settings, but it is best to make your own since all cars are different. When the time comes, hit me up and I'll help ya out.

big tim, i wanted to know if you are still offering your help on the mpi tuning

Currently i just bought a msp with a extra duel injection set up welded onto the perrin intercooler, and has a mpi tuner that i believe is under the passenger side dash. I am getting the block rebuilt with better internals, by removing the block and the connections, would that reset the mpi tunning map that is already on there? If so where can i get another copy of the software disc and wires to connect to a computer? My concern is that when i get the car back the mpi tuner will be out of wack and my car ride like s***. Thank you for the help.

If there is anyone in NJ that knows where i can maybe get my car dyno tuned that would help also. Thanks again

will the mpi tuning software run windows vista or do i need to purchase an older laptop to do my tuning with?

Also i plan on running 10 psi on a msp with the following mods....
Injen SRI
HiBoost FMIC
Nology Hotwires
ATP Turbo 8 PSI Wga
Turbo XS Standard MBC
2.5 inch catless midpipe with non-fouler type cel fix
Stock heat range NGK V-Power Racing Plugs

does anybody have a map that would be a good starting point? I have a guy thats going to tune my car but he said if possible he'd like to see an established map instead of learning the mpi from scratch. (he tuned his own evo from scratch using aem ems and got well over 650whp out of it so hes definately capable).

The smt6 software on perfectpower.com ver 7.3 runs with win98 & up. Someone mentioned it needing some tweak for it to run on vista. I've been researching all possibilities for my sport auto NA P5 for afc + timing & I keep coming back to the MPI. There are a couple for sale here & would like to know if anyone thinks there will be a problem with it working on NA - oem inj, no vtcs, udp, i/h/e daily driver for air fuel control & timing just to lean out the rich ass oem tune after about 3250 rpm which is right about where I cruise on my hwy travels.
