Guys i know all of you are bummed about the mps coming out however you shouldn't be. The MP3 was sold at 18.5 k now the MPS will sell for around 21 k.... Think about it you can go and purchase a GOOD turbo for around 3k for example TRipoints. And run it safely at 10 boost giving you close to 200hp and 415 torgue.... Giving you 40 more HP and over 260 more TORQUE!

I love my MP3...no doubt. But do keep in mind the MSP will be more than *just* a turbo...it'll have some other goodies like a LSD, bigger stereo and more. I like to think it'll be good to see more people owning beautiful cars and more input on this site from informed people, rather than a "my car is better than yours" type of thing.

You're wrong about the TQ. the crazy TQ number you see in tripoints' site isn't measured in lb/ft. But regardless, I'd rather have an mp3 with a 3K turbo than an MSP.

Me being a P-5 owner.....well frankly, the MP3 came out in same MUCH more desirable colors....I have seen the Orange...and don't really like it....and as far as black....well my wifes P-5 is black...and the first and LAST black car I will ever own.....when its clean and detailed PROPERLY (which my wife doesn't do) it looks great.....but two minutes after you hit the road...it looks dirty again......so I wouldn't get a black MPS either.

NOW, bring that baby on in a nice monochromatic LIME GREEN or something...and I would love it!!

i think the other color is like a charcoal gry color...that is what i heard from this dlr in ROCLAND CTY NY...but then again they did try to give me 8k for my MP3....:bs: :flip:

Well,

I thought about trading in my MP3 for a MSP, but why? I like my car, and have put a lot into it (See mods below). When my turbo kit arives, I will be faster. It would be nice to have the LSD though for better traction in the corners.

The one I saw was black black.

Love my MP3

I don't know if I'm the only one who would choose the MP3 over the MS-P. I did that when I was shopping for a car about a month ago. By no means I am saying the MP3 is a better car without any mod, but it just fits my budget better and looks better IMHO. After pondering for quite some time, I decided to go for a used yellow MP3 over waiting for a MS-P.

There are a few exterior changes that I don't quite like on the MS-P. The color obviously is one. I like the orange, but not even close to as much as I love the yellow. And I don't like the way they painted the top lip of the front grill. Also, I liked the MP3 Racing Hart wheels better than the ones on MS-P. And the orange side markers really complimenting yellow or blue MP3, while the clear ones on the MS-P seems plain on the orange. Not to mention very nicely designed MP3 badges. I love those things. :D I also like the minor interior differences on the MP3 over the MS-P, like the cup holder lid, the leather shiftknob(yeah, I don't like the Sparco one that much), the sport pedals(Mazdaspeed I believe?), the print-on 'gear shift diagram' thingy...etc. Very nice.

This past weekend, I got the chance to drive my MP3 around San Francisco downtown, which has quite a few narrow bumpy streets here and there, and boy was it bumpy! Even though I still prefer better handling over ride comfort, but it does make a difference if you live in areas like that. Luckily I don't :) . So if the MS-P even have a stiffer ride, it may be quite hard to manage if you are driving your family or friends on bumpy roads.

The MS-P is still great car, and a better car to a certain extend. But with the extra US$3-4k price tag, and a slightly less attractive appearance, I am glad that I chose my yellow MP3. Unless I have a much higher income, then things may be a little different :p

Enjoy your ride!

Would you really want a lime green car??

The colors of the MSP are really the thing that gets to me the most too....orange is nice enough....but too flashy for my personality...don't think it would suit me. Plus being a color like that is gonna be hit and miss...some people will love it, while others will hate it. The black I have the same problem as others...super hard to take care of and keep clean....not good in a place where there's so much snow! :)

Yeah, either SIr Nuke or somebody else photoshopped a lime green MPS. Looked surprisingly sexy! Much better than the orange.
