Ok, perhaps this isn't exactly a racers dream.....but I'm not a racer at all. This was the first time I've ever tried to go up against anybody and it was with my crap winter tires in -15 celsius weather(albeit dry roads). This jerk in an Intrepid was trying to show the power of his grandpa ride...would pull up beside me and lights(it was 1 am so were the only ones around) and would rev his engine and take off and would slow down when he saw I wasn't racing. He finally got on my nerves tho so at the next set of lights I revved up my engine(Note to self, learn the "steps" of racing). I kept the rpms around 3000 for my launch...not sure if that was too high or too low or what, but it seemed to work....light changed and I had nice clean shifts and just completely wasted him even though it looked like he was doing his best to put on a good show and had "cheated" by rolling when he saw the crosslights turn yellow.
Like I said...my first race ever but it really felt good to feel the power of this car and to hear the engine roar.
