My Mp3 tire wear out bad..bad....
I have over 30,000 mile and My RH front tire blow out on me yesterday.... Bad...bad...Lucky it not loose my steering yet. Do any one have same problem on tire ?????????:( :(

30000 miles! That aint' bad for Z rated Dunlops. But having them blow out.....that's not good. Where they totally bald? Did you rotate often?

If you got 30000 miles out of them you should be writing Dunlop and thanking them for such a great piece of equipment. These tires rule, and I'll be lucky to get 20k out of mine. Z-rated tires rarely make it that far. Be glad yours did.
If you're looking for treadlife, try some h-rated tires. You could get 50k+ on something like that.

I just got new tires My dunlops only lasted 15,000. I guess I Like catching 2nd a little too much.

I am at 12,500 miles and my dunlops still have plenty to go. The tread depth is still QUITE deep! I'm pretty surprised so far.

Even with my autoXing, my Dunlops seem to be holding up quite nicely. It's too bad actually that whenever I do replace them it will have to be with other tires. Then I'll come on the forum and ask a million already asked questions. J/K! :)

Yeah, I wish we could figure out the deal with the shortage of the SP9000s. Some of the more experienced people on here say that these tires are just amazing and I believe it. I hope when the time comes they'll be more available or something just as good will be around.

My tires are close to bald. Im getting my car realligned today cause I hit a huge pot hole and through it all to hell and then Im going to get new tires tomorrow. My friend actually owns a tire and wheel shop so he's gonna hook me up tomorrow. I think Im at aroung 16,000m.:p

well, they must be stil mkaing them somewhere. A lot of the pontiac vibes I see driving around here have sp9000's on them.....yes....that's right...9000's. I had to get out of the car and check.

Their 215's/50's though. I wouldn't cry if I had to put 215's on her next time, but NOT 50's. But if their making them in that size, why stop making them in 45zr17's?

Don't make sense.

They still make the 215/45/17s, just not the 205s. Sounds like a better tire to me with all of the rim issues I have seen on here.

They also make 215/40/17s of the SP9000s which will keep your speedometer much closer than 45s. Will these rub though? I think the 215 would look awesome...

Yup, 215's are what I want next time. Whether I get Dunlops or not, I don't know. I love the tires so far. Excellent wet and dry traction. The road noise is a little more then I like. But the real problem is sand/rocks. I find these tires pick up everything on the road and flick it at the car. It's becoming evident to. If you look at my skirts undher the wheel hubs behind all four tires, the paint is being chipped away pretty quickly. This is happened on other cars I've had ground effects on, but it usually took a couple of years and upwards of 50000 kms before I saw anything. My mp3 has 12000 kms.

Of course if the damn city workers would get out and actually CLEAN the roads off, I could enjoy another set of dunlops. OR, if we could buy some god damn mud flaps that looked sensible, that too would solve my problem.

I don't know what other tire to go with. I'm hoping 215's don't rub. Other people around here seem to have them ok. The mazdaspeed 3 does come with 215's. But when I look in that wheel well, it doesn't look like there's a whole lot of room left between the wheel and shock. And we got some bad dips and bumps in the roads here so if their going to rub at all, it's no good.

I won't have to worry about tires until next year anyways hopefully.
