Hi, just wanted to know how the MP3 original player works, if it can display the titles of the song and artist, and if it can read any kind of CD-R burned with MP3 in folders with a name. Also would like to know if the MP3 player has RDS function on the radio and any other new function that the MP3 player has over the regular CD player that comes with the car... Thanks in advance

Yes, it can display song & artist info. However, if the info is longer than the display size (which will happen 99% of the time), then you must manually scroll to the right to see all the info.

Yes, it can read burned CD's. The random function will only go random within a certain folder (so you have to burn with this in mind).

No idea what RDS is so can't help you there.

Aside from ability to play MP3 (and therefore put tons more music on a CD), no other new function over regular CD.

Isn't RDS similar to satellite radio in that it can automatically show the name of the radio station being tuned? Among other things that is. Either way it's not on the radio (probably disabled if available at all, anywhere) on the North American units since it's more prevalent in Europe.

The MP3 unit can also display CD-Text information, while the standard CD player and the 6 disc changer units cannot.
