Mp3 CD Help

I can't figure out how to get a damn mp3 cd to work in our headunits.. Anybody that knows how to do it please help me out..

If it doesn't say Mp3 on the front of the Bose stereo, it won't play Mp3's.
I found the same thing out. You will have to convert mp3's to CD audio with a program and burn them onto disc. You won't get nearly as many songs on a cd either, as cd audio songs are not as compressed as mp3's.

Then why does the owners manual say that you can play mp3's that were recorded on a cd-r/cd-rw/cd-rom??

I believe those head units were available in different markets. They weren't available from the factory for the US market. They were a dealer-installed option. The owner's manual is also printed for more markets than just the North American market. That is why your owner's manual mentions it.

Yeah, I found this out the hard way too. F'n shady dealership sold it as an MP3 head.

Come to find out later you cannot get the MP3 enabled head with the in-dash 6 CD changer. So if you have the in-dash 6 CD changer then you definately don't have the MP3 enabled head.
