Moving to Texas??

:
2002 Mazda Protege ES
This will be my senior year of college and upon graduation I will be trying to get a job with boarder control.
Canada is always an option but I would rather go someplace warm lol. I think Texas will be #1 on my places to move to

Texas is definitely the place to go if you want "warmer" weather. But this "warm" weather hits triple digits on a frequent basis with massive amounts of humidity during the summer. I love every minue of it..

I lived in syracuse about 8 years ago, moved to TX, Austin, Only thing I miss about NY is the food and the weather other than that I love austin.

So the people / culture are easy to get used to? Thats the only thing I keep thinking about is that ill be that "yank" from NY :p

ive lived in San Antonio my whole life and its not a bad place, ive done my time in austin, dallas, houston, midland, laredo, corpus....as far as the weather its humid and raining in houston, traffic is crazy, they have Project M...... dallas can get good cold its not a bad place either they have DFW Mazdas up there, corpus HUMIDITY but you have the beach they have Southern Mazda Allied Car Club...midland and laredo alot of spanish so if you dont know learn i dont know of a club or team down there.....San Antonio our winters drop to a wopping 70deg we get the occasional 50-60 but its pretty much 90's except the summer like today its gonna be 101deg we have Khaotic Mazda Team down here but its a good city thats growing like everyone else....then we have austin which i think is the party city of TX with whole blocks of a street with bars and clubs on both side, summers are just as hot but i think their winters are a little cooler being a little up north from me......well thats my 2cents of TX the other members will chime in if i got anything incorrect or need to add more.....if you do end up in TX no matter where you end up at Welcome to our state.....

You should hit up E.P.T, VERY HOT and dry but you have close citys near by like ABQ., Las Cruses, Nogales, Roswell, and Carlsbad Oh and Juarez if your not scared to go, LoL. We have a good groupe of mazdas and were always looking to expand.

Lol I can do dry, and I def wouldnt mind moving to a place that has a Mazda scene. NY is pretty dead unless you wanna go to NYC or way down in southern NY

we have people from all over in houston, austin, and dallas. you wouldn't be out of place, with or without an accent. if you come to houston, you could get a job in borders and customs up and down the port of houston. other than that, you would have to move further south to get a job in actual border patrol.

we have a mazda scene in houston, but i have to admit that dallas goes harder than we do when it comes to mazdas. i know, i'm not being very loyal to my houston brethren when i say that, just being non-biased.

whatever u do dont work the actual mexican border. that would probably place u somwhere in or around el paso, wich no offense but its probably the worst city in texas to live. but if u dont mind illigel activity, drugs, and illigal immigrants then feel free. lol dallas is the place to be.

That's a damn good summary of TX. lol

El Paso, worst city??? Explain. I want to know what your definition of a bad city is. And I hope what you listed "illegal activity, drugs, and illegal immigrants..." is not one of them.

el paso is bad but yet when your watch first 48 there always in dallas????? hmmmm strange??? haha el paso is an awesome city with alot of opportunity.

anywhere in america has illegal activity, drugs and illegals haha some ppl are ignorant

my brother lived there for 6 months, he is a roof/construction contractor and he said that the drug crime was horrible, and that the illigals were like crazy and it was absolutely the worst place to live. and it goes like this Juarez(if thats how u spell it)/el paso, ur within bb gun distance of the worst drug war city i can think of. if u think there is no drug crime in el paso u need to open ur eyes.

Drug crime, there's drug crime in any city. If you look for it you'll find it, simple as that. Doesn't mater what city you're in. As far as illegals, of course they're here, El Paso is the only true border city. As far as what your brother has said about El Paso, he has no idea... ignorant from what it seems. 6 months here won't let you experience much anywhere.
