well yesterday I didn't have much to do so I finished the install and took some pics. For some reason the camera wouldn't focus quite right so I'll have carbonkid use his 10 megapixel camera to take better ones either tonight or sometime this week. again these are prototypes, I'm thinking I'd like to completely redo the switches, possibly use a different type of switch all together. I am please with the results, I just want perfection

Looks good, but your dimmer switch is upside down. Whatever you want me to do to them, (dremel new ones, makes new labels, etc) we can do it...let me know.

lol, thanks for pointing that out. I must have been so concerned how the UC switches looked I didn't even think about the dimmer. I am pretty pleased with the final product. I think the only thing I'd change is the label/font color
and maybe get a switch that has an LED built into the actual switch. Thanks for the help carbonkid

mine are gonna go in the center console just below the shifter plate in the plastic that goes around the e-brake handle. i'll post pics in a couple weeks when im done

I thought about that as a possibility but to replace that piece if I were to mee up I'm guessing is a lot more $$ then a blank switch. good luck and post up some pics of the finished product when your done

i can get a replacement piece for the e-brake cover for around $38, the dummy switches cost $9 each so i figured its not much difference if i do ever put it back to stock which is very unlikely

to be honest I'm not too sure. obviously it's an ecu reset switch so either way I flip the switch and it should reset the ECU right? maybe someone else can correct me.

supposed to be on all the time.

I was kinda hoping you'd chime in. Thanks for the info. Although with all the wiring issues many have had with the UC, do you think this might be one of them?

Turn the switch to the other position and try to start the car. If it won't, just flip the switch around on the terminals.

Your ECU is always supposed to be on unless you want to reset the Unichip. If you wish to reset the Unichip, you pull the key out of the Ignition and turn the ECU switch off for 10 mins then turn on and start the car.

yeah I got it. I read through the install manuel shortly after my last post and fixed it. Aparently I was resetting my ECU everytime I drove my car, but we're all better now. thanks for the post though. (thumb)

a label maker. no seriously it's a little like typewritter that you type in what you want the label to read and hit print. shoot carbonkid a pm and ask him what brand his is and where he got it as he did mine for me. I think you should be able to get them at Wal-mart or Target or a store that's similar
