Agreed. That was almost as bad as reading youtube comments...
WRX HAD to step up the game as it was expected...I see some folks jump the gun and choose the 09 Rex over MS3 if they were asked right now just cuzz it's a tad faster AND it's AWD.
I stand strong behind my little red hatch Rex's imo new ext. design is dreadful, biggest drawback, ms3s are so much more sleeker looking, oh there's another hatch comin out with 10 more hp and tenth of a second faster like next month so wait up if u wanna chase the fastest pocket rocket of the month trend. (wedge) (lol2)

damn i think this is the new best bang for your buck. u dont need any of the options really, so it is ~26k.
i still think it's ugly as s***, but now that it's price is on par with the ms3 gt, faster, and has awd, i would probably grab one over an ms3 if i were buying right now. i'd deal with the uglyness

When car shopping before I got my 6 i looked at the 08 WRX. Opened the door . . . like a baron desert. My sisters ken and barbie corvette had more functional features. Every exterior and interior designer of subaru needs to be fired. If the car was an sti or an evo then maybe I could deal with the interiors just because of what was under the hood. Even the evo however has racing components in the cockpit. The wrx . . . nothing . . . its like what you would expect from 1998 dodge neon.
I haven't seen the newest wrx interior but I hope they stepped up their game like they stepped up the engine.

I'm with ya... if I can wait the 2 years. I LOVE the speed3 but AWD is where it's at... at least when you live in New England.

It's not MS3 quality but i'll take it.
I hear the tranny is weak and no where near strong as the one in the STI. Few good hard 6k launches / mis shifts and bye bye tranny! If I'm gonna spend about 30k on a AWD sport compact it'll be a EVO X GSR (5-speed manual) - Get it tuned via VINSHU for $995.00 and have a car running 12.7@109ish and handling to match.

no one knows for sure...some slight changes were made to the tranny but it should be able to take just as much abuse as any other tranny...true, its no STi tranny but its also $10k cheaper lol
Yeah im sort of confused as to subaru's goal with this car. The kids spending their parents money like me / people interested with modding and speed are going to go with the STI. Normal DD people who arent necessarily looking for something with crazy power but something with kick and balance like the speed 6 wont go for it either because the interior / plainness for lack of better word . . . yawn.

I dont think your opinion accounts for the entire countries taste. And the goal of the car is to compete w/ the MS3 & Lancer RalliArt for the most part...if anything its direct competition is only the Lancer...
and the people interested in modding and speed more often than ot go with the WRX and have been for some time...cheaper and can made just as fast.
