Someone beat me to post it. Personally, It's really ugly. The body lines of the hatch are just disgusting. I'll take the 07 STI and call it a day.

I don't know if the official pics will make a difference, the interior is an upgrade though.

something seems "off" with the front grill. i like the basic shape. subaru said that they'll still make a sedan version, so that should quiet some people down, unless it still looks like that rendering. it needs fender flares, but maybe that'll make it to the sedan (something i wish us wagon owners had).

the interior seems like an upgrade, but say goodbye to the defi triple gauge pod in the middle.

i still have faith that i'll like it when it's released.

Isn't Toyota getting more involved with Subaru...It looks like they replaced a few too many Subaru guys with Toyota heads and hoped no one would notice...(notcool)

I see some of the nasioc peeps think it looks like a Mazda...Obviously, they haven't spent much time looking at Mazdas!

I like it, as long as it's not replacing the sedan. I would definately want that over the wagon. I'm glad Subaru decided to make a hatch.

Front lip and fog lights look like a cobalt SS. And yes this looks like a kia/hyundai/toyota mix in terms of what the body looks like. I thought Subaru designers would have gotten a clue that all of their cars save the mid to late 90's impreza have been some of the worst looking automobiles on the road with horrible body lines, wheel gap, and plasticy looking hood scoops and spoilers. The legacy is the best designed car they currently have. I can see how people might think it looks like a mazda, but only from a side view of the front. The headlights wrap around the body like a protege/3. The engine bay doesn't look much different then the current one either. I'm thinking there will only be a moddest upgrade in power considering the redesigned STI won't be out until about the same time as the new evo X. So they won't won't the new WRX to have similar power a the current selling STI. I'm guess 10-20 horse over the current WRX model.
