Motor Mounts

Ok, The TRZ is on back order until August sometime. What is the next best mount under $100? I can see that the CP-E is not getting good reviews?

Shoot, maybe I am mis understanding the sig but even the Protege garage guys say no CP-E for me on their signatures. Do you have one? Arent they rubber? Defeat the purpous wouldnt it? I could be wrong (usually am) but I dont hear a lot about them if at all which leaves me weary in itself.

It's not under $100, but go for the street unit motor mount. I have one on order now with the 62A bushings. It's reviews have been overwhelmingly good if you can put up with a minor increase in vibrations.

Don't know exactly what you're looking for but I got the CorkSport inserts and am a very satisfied customer. No vibes and a much better feel when driving. I also got the bushings as well though.

+1

Just got mine in a few weeks ago. Cheap! No vibes at all!
No negatives, only positives! BUY IT NOW!

tru boost is not an employee of protege garage. his opinion is his own. we have no issues with cp-e and have never said anything remotely bad about their engine mount.

we have the updated AWR mounts in stock and we have the corksport inserts in stock. either one will make you a very happy customer :)

PG is still backordered on the CPE mount, but I'm holding out for it. I think the product speaks for itself in the reviews.

If your price "limit" is $100, is an extra $40 going to kill you? You'll have a good part that ought to last, and will do its job properly. One thing I've learned in my relatively short time modding cars is to never cheap out on parts (or tools :)), you just have to get the best prices available. Speaking of which, I sent you another email, Ken!

Wow, ok still a lot of choices. Something about no vibration that I dont trust, every thing else has the vibes.
About the inserts, I have an ETS 3.5 intercooler and after installing I had a rub underneath the hood from engine rotation. After inserting the inserts, no more hood rub. So they help mechanically. Nice noticeable vibration at first then got softer. I will probably get a full blown motor mount next spring as I drive the car rather hard and care less for comfort. These inserts might be for you. We have had tons of discussion on the mm. Good luck, and you will notice the improvement of feel especially at the shifter.
