Hey guys i got a couple questions ..... now i have only had my MS3 for 4 1/2 months and i dont know everything about it yet ..... now i may sound dumb but i want to get new motor mounts and i am set on it but i want to know which ones are the best and are there 4 motor mounts or just 2? ..... and are they also easy to install?

My Second question is for the MS3's stock turbo after boosting, obviously all the time :), do you need to let it cooldown? my friend with a MSP says he doesnt need to let it sit for longer than 30 seconds after much boosting. i was wondering if i needed to wait longer or anything like that..... i usually wait about 2-3 minutes on average i was just wondering if its necessary..... i know mods affect it .... i have a MS CAI and a short shifter .... it wont matter for to long because i should be getting my turbo timer but it would be great to know.

And one final thing.... i bought my MS3 used..... i have asked the dealership and they didnt know and i looked around but i dont know how to tell which kind of MS3 i have.... the touring or GT or whatever kind..... any easy way to tell?? please let me know lol

I dont really know MS3s but you could call mazda and give them the VIN to find out if its a GT or not

There is an easy way to tell if you have an MS3 Sport or GT. If you have the Bose speakers, rain sensing wipers, HID headlights, leather trimmed seats = GT, none of that stuff = Sport. I have a Turbo Timer on my MS3 and right now there is only one Motor Mount available by several vendors which is the rear mount.

ok so i do have the GT version..... and the motor mounts i just want to make sure i get the right stuff ....... so i dont know if i should wait for the best ones to come out or just install the only ones they have for the rear

I let mine cool down about 30 sec or so.... I also try to stay out of boost the last minute or so of my drive. Is it better? who knows but it makes me feel better. At the moment, the rear mount is the only one available, also sometimes called the tranny mount. Several companies make them, AWR, TRZ, SU, PtP - it'll be up to you to determine whats best for you personally. Just search a little, you'll turn up loads of info

oh, and welcome

man which stealership did you goto that couldn't tell you whether you have a GT or sport? I sure don't want to buy from them =p

ya i know bad dealership.... if they didnt give it to me for such a good price i woulda left.... but i got it for a deal you cant refuse.... specially since they are marked up $6000 for new ones ...... only used one i seen in town ever.... ohh and one more question ...... does the rear motor mounts eliminate wheel hop totally?? or would it only go away with front and rear motor mounts ..... i have wheel hopped twice in my car and it hurt the heart both times it happened

one other thing...... dont know if my car has any aftermarket downpipe or exhaust ..... sounds and looks stock to me .... but i notice that i have quite a bit of black soot on my rear bumper ..... would that happen with my stock exhaust?? because i know that it happens normally.... its just that mine has a little bit more than normal amount
