Motor Clacking

I bought ARP studs and honestly they are nothing special. I bought a 3mm hex key socket so I could get them in and it stripped the studs trying to get them in the holes where I had used Loc-tite with the replacement factory bolts. The factory bolts are also a huge rip off.

If I had to do it over again, I would take a factory bolt to ACE hardware and see if they have anything that will work before I spend the money on ARP.

Soooo yeah, took the shielding off the exhaust manifold and as soon as I did a bolt dropped out and onto the skid plate under the motor. Needless to say the motor sounds better when starting up and warming up. Checked all the other bolts from the manifold into the motor and made sure they were to the right torque ratings. I'll end up replacing the exhaust gasket sometime this week to clean up the rest of the little "clank" left. Thanks for all the help on this issue.
