Welp, I went crazy and decided to just keep the Traklite 1s. I also got a single tire mounted to one of the rims (not balanced, I'm not driving on it). I also stuck it on the car to see how it looks, looks good to me!

In the pics the car isn't jacked up at all, the jack is loose under the car.

Looks like I've got a fair amount or room on the inside. Of-course; the outside is the primary concern though. I think it looks like there's a fair amount of distance from the top of the tire to the fender...

Any opinions?

traklites are the s***. Very good choice and the car will be faster for sure with them. Im guessing you will save over 20lbs. of rotational mass. Thats a big deal.

Awesome! I'll probably get the rest mounted and stuff tomorrow then! I'll post some pics and impressions of course...

If the specs and are correct these rims are 15lbs each and the tires are 24lbs (same as the stockers). It should mean a net loss of 7# per corner!

Yeah Im kinda curious about this myself. I love the wheels but thats just to much tire for me. Unless your planning on using them @ the track that is. Either way good choice for wheels.

No updates to speak of... No horror stories either, so that's good! I WILL post impressions (and pics) once I get 'em on.

The douschbag company I bought the wheels from didn't send centering rings until last Thursday or so. While waiting for the rings I ripped apart my car's interior installing a new stereo (I got to test it out tonight, it's pretty nice!) so I wasn't driving the car. The wheels and tires will probably be on my agenda in the next couple days...

The company that sold me my wheels claimed to have the silver TRIIs, good price too... Thing is they also told me they had black TRIIs before they sent me what I have now. So, buy at your own risk I guess.

So, just got back from having these wheels and tires put on. Initial impressions: it really feels different, I'd say it feels better. I'm perfectly willing to admit it could be the placebo effect, but it seemed easier to accelerate (I'm not super proficient with the clutch/manual transmission yet).

Also look at the Kosei K1 TSs. 14.1 lbs for a 17" wheel at $179/wheel...

24-15 is 9, but the weight of the stock wheels is 22lbs (or that's what everyone says). I've measured one of these traklites, it was actually 15.15lbs (not 14.7 as they advertise). Now that I have the stock rims off the car I'll get one on the scale any second now... [edit]OK, weighed the stock 18" wheel. According to my scale they're 24.05 lbs. So sweet! I'm saving 9 lbs per corner after-all![/edit]

Those K1 TSes are good lookin' wheels, and lighter, but they're also 1" narrower.

Welp, I've driven around a little now, no rubbing that I can see. Here's a couple shots of 'em on the car... They're not glamor shots so the car/wheels/tires aren't clean and the center caps haven't been put on yet.

OK OK OK! I did a little searching and 24 lbs comes up all the time for the stock rims... I don't know what I pulled the number 22 from, but that's what I'd been thinking from the beginning...

The tires are Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S 235/45 17s. They're suppose to be a good all-season tire with a focus on dry traction.

I got 'em during the Discount Tire Direct $100 off sale for $524 shipped ($131 per tire if my math is right).

I'll look tomorrow to see if I'm rubbing. I drove around aimlessly for like 2 hours today. I like to do my part to save the environment!

The wheels were $1000 and the company charged $70 for shipping I think. I agreed to buy them outside of eBay (saving the company about $30 in fees and junk) and pay with Google Checkout (saving them another $30). In exchange they:
1. Gave me some black spline lugnuts
2. Shipped the wrong ******* wheels (what I have are Traklite 1s, I ordered Traklite 2s)

When I talked to them regarding the fact they shipped the wrong wheels they laid all the blame on Motegi (which very well may have been the where it belongs). Apparently the wheels were "drop shipped" from the Motegi warehouse. They were unable to deliver Traklite 2s so I had to choose between
a. returning the wheels I had (for a full refund of course) and trying to find something else that I liked or
b. keeping the Traklite 1s and take an $80 refund

The next lowest price I could find for Traklite 2s was about $1200 for a set, they were also out of stock and also could not guarantee when they would get some more.

I took option b. $990 shipped is still a good price for these wheels, and they aren't that different...

I think the center bore is slightly less than 73 mm (I'm of course using adapters for our 67.1 mm hubs).
