Im looking into turboing my P5 soon, Im wanting something streetable since i drive it daily. Im looking at the Hiboost, but also i want something that produces good numbers. Im wanting to run about 3-5 Psi daily, whats a good boost range to run to still keep some of the reliability? I also want something that has great potential for when i go to the track, and is very upgradable to produce some high numbers.

Thanks,
Justin

3 psi would not even be worth spending the money for, frankly.

you can run around 7 psi on a stock motor with the right engine/fuel management. i would take a look at the mental addiction turbo kit as well - people have been having great success with that kit. i sell both kits and can answer any questions you may have about either one.

Yeah, you need to be at least running 5 or 6 psi to get anything out of it.

You could always get any of the kits and just turn the boost down slightly for longevity.

We offer 3 turbo kits for the Protege. Our kits produce more power psi to psi than any other Protege kit currently on the market.. We use only the best possible parts available and the quality/reliablity of our kits are second to none. If you are looking for low boost and are on a budget, I would recommend running the Stripper kit. The Stripper kit is a Non-intercooler version of it's big brother Sleeper. Below are some dyno sheets of the Sleeper kit.
Here are some pictures of our kits.

Good luck with you qwest to the darkside.

I think I talked to you over the phone.

Our kit comes with everything needed to run a reliable car. That is why we include everything at a very affordable price.

The kits have been proven reliable all around the world and at the track.

There are kits running in Australia, Canada, England, Malaisya, South America and all over in the US.

For The price no other kit comes close. Our kits include a ball bearing turbo, Haltech F10X (fuel Computer), Spearco Front mounted inrtercooler, silicone hoses, braided oil lines, blow off valve and all necessary components.

The kit itself is capable of 300+ WHP with a built block.

Plus the kits are ready to ship, so there is no waiting time.

When you say it's ready to ship, do you mean everything will be out the door 1 or 2 days after it's ordered?
If so, how come I see threads on here where people are missing parts for the FMIC and turbo kits that can't get ahold of you unless they make a thread.

come on.....be easy the last thing we need is to lose another vendor. the first time i ever called hiboost they answered and seemed very helpful. i do understand though i would be alittle upset if i was missing parts, due to im so impatient when it comes to things like that.

We gotta keep it cool people. Legitimate questions and answeres. Let's keep the "OWNED" comments to a minimum.

Nobody is missing parts in any kit. The heatshields and new intake is a new design on the later kits and we offer them to replace those. This does not mean that they are missing parts. That reolacement is done as a compliment and are free for those who signed up last year for the replacement.

The intercooler kits are sent 1 day after the order is placed and turbo kits within 3 days after the order is received.

There are over 100 FMIC kits out there and more than 40 turbo kits. If that was the case the forums would be filled with complaints.

You only say that because you are a WOMP guy.. Just like a school yard nerd, you'll sit in the corner and take cheap shots when you can. Personally I don't see any problems. MAM and Hiboost both came in a advertised there products. I wonder what you'll say when you open up a NOPI flyer... NOPI is powered by AEM,MSD,etc... Business are here to market there products.. Just as you are with the supercharger.

I support womp, yes.
Take cheap shots... where you going with that?
Whoever said that "Msprotege.com is powered by MAM" is a bad thing?
Someone is jumping to conclusions.
Without companies like MAM and HiBoost, Protege's wouldn't have much potential.
I have to get one thing clear to you, **** NOPI. the end.

I tuned a MAM version 1 (non tubular manifold design) street sleeper kit at 5psi and it made 170 whp. That's a great number for 5psi. I believe he made 190 at 7psi. I have yet to see any numbers compare on a Hiboost kit. I'm not knocking it at all, just stating what I have seen in person.

I personally have run 8psi for 2 years on a stock motor and MPI with ZERO issues. So 3psi sucks ass, go with 5-8 for more fun. Good luck with your choice.
