I just took delivery of my 2005 Mazda 3 . Its a 1.6 L. Here in Dubai we get only a 1.6 L with 110 BHP. I dont want to do major engine mods. Just something cheap that will give me some pep in the acceleration department.

Can you guys suggest something with the performance gains.

OMg, you are in the UAE, it's awesome there, everything races there Mercedes and BMW's like freaks all over the place.

Thanks guys...........but cheap....power.

I don;t want to do anythng to the engine. I want to still retain my warranty. I was thingking more on th elines of an K&N filter or something similar an exhaust , rechip maybe.......? Which will give me a noticible gain at "bang for a buck" prise.

Ya by the way in Dubai. Here Beemers & Mercs are dime a dozen.Porsche's are like cabs...............its amazing. This place has one of the most expensive cars per sq.km thna anyother place.

All I can say is that when I came to the UAE I had a blast and many near misses due to those crazy drivers lol.

only thing I can say is deleting the intake resonator in the fender in lue of drop in K&N might yield you something...but not as much as you are wishing for. intakes can be installed and removed. My intake has to have been removed 10 times total in a 4 month period...2 times under streetlight. not shure how your warrenties are done there so I won't go thru the whole sema speal(shrug)

yeah some countries tax 2.0 and up engines...alot of companies to include chrysler put out a 1.6 for the neon...IMHO if you are giving someone a 1.4 drop it down to a 1.3 and make it a rotary!

If it's gonna be a rotary, might as well make it RWD too!!
It'd be tight to have a mazda 3 5dr w/ rwd& rotary!!!

doode the miata is smaller than the mazda 2, mazda 3 and the mazda 6 and it's rwd! Whats wrong with this picture?
