Well it looks like GM decided to bring the Vauxhall Astra as the Saturn Astra, but........ without the turbo engine! (doh)

just like the mazda3 hatch, thats their base model. i read in caranddriver that its suppose to launch a REDLINE vrsion with the turbo. from what i hear its 240 hp, and 225 torque. look it up

the 3 door is called sport-hatch and has zero rear visibility cos of the tiny rear window. we had one of them but shelled it for the 5 door in that same grey colour, you can get big turbo engines in the normal ones too, up to 2.0T,
The VXR is crap anyway so you arent missing out on anything much, it would torque steer you into the nearest tree straight off the forecourt

It looks like an average crossover vehicle. I don't think I care for a two door hatch - though interestingly it does harken back to an old two door hatch that defined a brand...

Gee that thing screams Focus replica! Very similar in looks to both the focus and ms3. Im sure the Redline version will look much better and very similar to the MS3. Not bad GM...

the vxr might give you an idea of what your hot one will look like, this model has been around years before the focus and mazda3

the first and last pic that redspeed posted are the opel astra, i remember when my parents bought a brand new red opel astra hatchback back in 1994, it was a 1.6L 4cyl with 5spd, thats the car that got me hooked on wagons and hatchbacks sexy cars

Yep! Vauxhall is sold in the UK only if I'm not mistaken. Everywhere else is Opel Astra.

That thing is much better than the Focus. I think the 3 doors are sweet looking.

Too bad it doesn't have the panoramic sun roof like the vauxhall though.
