At the same time, spent a good chunk of money on this car, so if there is a way to make it better, I am going to. Plus, I enjoy side project and it would give me a chance to learn more.

No sympathy for those adults who are always forgetting to close a sunroof, car door, rear hatch or something. ed

Just a friendly warning for those expecting their car to save them from themselves:

There is no alcohol interlock device on a stock CX-5. Right when you are most vulnerable, when you are too drunk to make good decisions, the car still let's you start it up and drive off, just the same as if you were sober! It doesn't even warn you about this most dangerous mistake!
