Moldings. . .I don't need no stinking moldings. . .

I can has one? :D I'll give you a dollar.

I use all the ones I have.

I've got dedicated towels for:
Drying
Interior
Polish removal
wax removal
glass
wheels
exhaust
engine bay

I can do 2-3 full details on cars before I have to wash towels, but it's nice having extras.

I even have some of those cheap ones from Walmart that are mostly interior.

If you're planning on doing it, wait until summer. It's infinitely easier. Last summer, I just waited for a warm day, parked it out front and after about two hours just went out and pulled them off by hand.

Gave it a good wash afterwards- within 45 minutes you could never tell they were there.

yep. wait until it is warm outside. And you will regret it after the first door ding or two.

They just do not effectively stop the door dings enough to justify their existence. Anything, even slightly bigger, will still contact the door. I haven't had a single dent since I took them off- although I'm still trying to get one repaired from when I had the moldings on.

Oh, don't get me wrong I am for removal. I don't like them, although on some cars they look better imo. I just know people tend to get irritated once they see door dings after their removal.
