I have a new 2016 CX5 that's I've had for about 3 months. Yesterday I opened the trunk area. I have the oem rubber mat with the side pockets over the trunk. I rolled that forward, and folded open the trunk and noticed a bit of water condensation on the underside of the fold-up trunk floor. I wiped it up with a towel. I didn't notice any pooling of water in the tire well itself, it was just on the underside of the floor where it folds up. Its been very cold here and we've had some snow, but I haven't stored any wet items in the back at all. The only thing I can think of is that since the car is new, the styrofoam trunk trays and or the spare tire are releasing some moisture?? Anyone have any ideas? Just wondering if this is a normal occurrence or something I should bring to the attention of the dealer. I'm going to keep the trunk area open for a few days to let it dry completely out and check it again.
