Mods on the cheap

our cars should have body matched mirror covers, but, the mirror and attachments are balck

You could see how it looks by looking at a mazdaspeed protege, they are all body color

as to cheap mods, just did the intake manifold VTCS'less mod with a mild port and polish

So can i send you my intake mani with a large pizza and beer?

I didn't actually do the work to the intake mani, another forum member off TMF did it and came down to help with the work

I have a spare sitting on the floor in my garage now anyways after we swapped

no, but, it is only a few months old, at least the top half

i can do the a VTCS removal, but, no P&P on it

Looks too much stock for me! I tought you had rerouted your intake!

has anyone thought of painting the side mirrors?

At first I used flat black...it didnt look too good after i washed the car and it was kinda rough. After the paint started to peel I repainted it with some gloss black enamel paint.

Here is what it looked like with the flat black.

And here is the gloss enamel paint

Oh BTW I think its less than 50 bucks to do the custom end link mod in my sig.

I really dont understand the fad of making your car look more like a base model (i.e non paint matched mirrors, handles, etc)

well there is a difference when the company doesnt want to afford to paint multiple colors, and when we want to accent or contrast different things on our cars

I like it black, besides it would have cost more than $50 to restore my mirror covers back to the original red. Instead I spent $5...isn't that the point of this thread?
