Let's get something straight here. When someone has a problem with a product, they can handle it in one of two ways.
1) They can go make a post IN ANOTHER PERSONS THREAD, bitching about it and saying that they will never buy from that vendor again.
2) They can contact the company that made the mistake and try to get it resolved.
When somebody chooses #1 as the first thing they do, then they are not only making the company that made the mistake look bad, they are also making themselves look bad. Everybody makes mistakes skilletrx, and if you don't give the people who made the mistake a chance to resolve it before you go and post stuff like "I will never buy from them again", then you are not helping anyone.
I sent tviera a PM saying that he would be taken care of in whatever way he feels would be best for him. If he wants a replacement pipe, then he will get it. If he doesn't want a replacement, then he will get a discount on anything else that he ever orders. Aside from that, his posts in blue_speed's thread were not needed and not in the proper place. If you think that is being a nazi mod, then that is your perogative. Linux gave him a warning, then I saw the posts and sent him a PM, then removed the posts.
There is a lot of un-needed vendor bashing here, and IMO, it is going to make it so there is no aftermarket for us at all if it doesn't get resolved. The problem isn't the moderators and/or the staff here at this forum, it is the mindset of all the consumers who feel that this place is where you go to bash people that they buy parts from. People make mistakes, and most of the time if given a chance the vendors here will resolve them quickly and fairly. That goes ESPECIALLY for Beau at Mental Addiction. He will resolve issues and knows that they can and do happen.
ANYONE who goes into the Mental Addiction section and is complaining, without first taking the steps to try and get the problem resolved, will be sent a PM and their posts will be removed by me. If someone has an issue with a part and needs resolution, then they can call Beau, they can PM Beau, or they can PM me or one of the other sponsors. There is no need to go crying about the problem to everyone else that can't do anything about it. If the problem goes without resolution, then yes, the rest of the forum should be told of the situation... but if you don't give the vendor a chance to fix their mistake before alerting everyone, then that is just not fair in my eyes.
