Okay, I'm looking to modify my MS3 with "simple" performance modifications such as CAI, CAT BACK or TURBO BACK EXHAUST, BOOST GAUGE, SUSPENSION and a stronger REAR MOTOR MOUNT. OH and maybe take off (1) resonator and down pipe, etc.

So here's the deal... I know dick about machanics and now I'm really wishing I'd took some classes, etc but that's besides the point. I guess my question is do these kind of MODS come with instructions that are basically dummy proof?(hand) And if not, where do I go to get them installed and about how much $$$ would it cost me to hire someone to do these kind of MODS to my car?

Please advise...

who did the mods on your car? On your sig it says you have a boost gauge turbo timer etc....

The Mazdaspeed CAI comes with really good instructions. The test pipe that I got didnt come with any instructions as well as the motor mount. The springs didnt either- however, there are many write ups on this forum, and some of the things you mentioned dont require instructions- they are that simple.

Definitely do all your mods yourself. I promise you that it will be much more gratifying. You say you don't know anything about being a mechanic. Now is your chance to start somewhere.

Okay I kind of feel like a moron now! Just realized that there's a "How to" section in the forum that explains most of my concerns. Anyways, I do appreciate the feedback and more is welcomed as I'm glutton for knowledge

Got ya. There are great how to's on this board and others.
Simplest mods probably are shifter bushings, cobb sri, and new motor mount. Those would greatly improve the feel of the car as well as a good boost in hp.
The race pipe is pretty easy as well.
