hey guys i got $6000 and wondering if this would be a enough to forge out my engine or what should i do to the car i got a fmic and the car is lowered any ideas? or should i just sell it and what is the max hp i could get out of this engine if i forge it out?

what are your goals with the car?

that will determine how far your money will go. even if you just forge the engine you still have other issues to deal with like crap stock tune, poor SMIC, plastic piping etc.

better yet, what do u want the car to do? going just for a number doesnt always pan out to meeting your goal. do u want daily reliable? do you want fast? do u want ******* fast? it all depends on what you want then we can tell you. or at least give u a good idea.

you also have to keep in mind wil you be installign the engine yourself? Yes you can forge a motor with that but with a forge motor you want some sort of engine management. You know just as well as I do that teh boost will be turned up on it sooner or later.

i want the car to be reliable and it would be a daily driver and i want it to be fast as hell or should i just sell the msp and mov onto a honda or somethin else?

LMAO hondas have the same problems as these cars. Trans issues. The only thing in my eye a honda has over the protege is tune ability and aftermarket support. Open deck blocks suck balls when it comes to boost. honda stock NA rods tend to fail a lot under boost as well. They also have transfercase flex issues just like the protege.

It really depends on what your trying to do... you say fast as hell are we talking 600whp fast or 250-300whp fast? Depends on how much you want to spend and what time line you want to get it done. Pick two... fast, reliable, cheap... You can't have all three

I think he has to answer fast stright line or curves too. A s*** tone of money can be put into a car to make it a track car with less hp and fly through the turns (my route) or fast from stop light to stop light. $6000 can make a big change in motor performance, but if you're taking a turn fast it might not be so fun. Another question is do you have a 2nd car?

Look how short his replies are. This tells me 1. He not sure what he wants to do with the car. 2. He dont have a clue of a hp goal in mind. 3. hes talking about selling it already.
If you want a fast straight line car the msp isnt the way to go.
If your wanting to boost 30+ psi the msp isnt the way to go.
What would you be using the car for? track, auto-x, street machine, etc..

just some things to think about..
