hi guys....

i would like to do some mods on my car....but those mods can stop your garanty..
and i woud not like to lose my 3-5 years garanty on my cart just because i put an air intake or an exhaust system...
you dont think like me ?? or can we do those change without affecting our garanty??
keep on rollin!

 :D

basically intake, exhaust. shouldnt affect your warranty. The dealership has to prove the modification caused the problem.

Yeah, it's a law that was passed not that long ago. Any mod you do to your car won't void the warranty unless your problem was cause by that mod. So if you put on an intake and your transmission goes out, they can't void your warranty.

Ok..thanks guys....
if i do some...i'll call my dealer before..just to make sure...
p.s : i live in Canada...dunno if we got a law here too..

well.. :D

I had a free oil change at my dealer, and when I stopped in I asked a couple of the techs about intakes and warranties. He said that an intake would be fine. But he said something about exhausts having been known to break something (it was loud in the shop) in the exhaust manifold. I don't know what that means, but who knows.

For an intake at least, if they give you s*** on the phone, take it off and put the stock one on while you get it serviced.

Tim,
That was about the only wheeling and dealing I could do. They wouldn't go below MSRP so I demanded a free oil change before signing. They're $25 there with parts/labor. Pretty reasonable anyhow.
