About the extra injectors, yeah, it's a pretty simple idea. Certainly not the first time it's been done, and I would assume it won't be the last either. If other kit manufacturers do it, kewl - if not - maybe they will figure out something better. I'm not proud, I'll learn whatever I can, and use it whereever I can. If I think of something, and I think it will work, I'm going to talk about it here. I'm not secretive, holding secrets doesn't help anybody out. I've been saying it since day one, the main reason to be on this forum is information and discussion. Yeah, some mistakes and bad info are going to happen, but trial and error will weed those things out.
Now then, back to the injectors. We are using the extra injectors because we feel it's the smarter thing to do. By keeping the stock injectors, you can let the stock ECU do it's job. Stay out of boost, and the car runs completely normal. Some people want to increase the size of the stock injectors, but the stock ECU wasn't designed to control them. I don't see that being the right solution.
My goal with my car, and also with the kit is to have a car that retains 100% of the drivability. No stalling, harsh idle, running pig rich, etc. The extra injectors come on when they are needed. I'm driving the car and loving it. Starts up, runs fine, doesn't get hot, doesn't stutter, when I hit the gas, it goes. When I take my foot off the gas, it slows down. It's the way I feel the car should be.
I'm hopping in the shower now, still recovering from last nights 7am to 1am shift at my job. I'll be heading to the shop and talking to Nick M. today. ( Then I'm heading down to my friends computer store to pick up parts to build my brothers PC for him. )
