moda R3 / Pirelli PZero Nero M+S

Hey, I have a '03 Lazer Blue Proteg5, and I am thinking of getting new rims and tires. The rims that I am looking at are 18" moda R3s and the tires are Pirelli PZero Nero M+S (215/35-18).

On TireRack, I can get the wheels for $159 ea. and the tires for $133 ea. The total cost for the wheels is $636 and the tires is $532.
Grand Total for Rims/Tires: $1,168.

I installed Eibach Pro-Kits in mid-May, and I am wondering if 18" rims would look/fit well in the gap. I was thinking of just getting 17" wheels and making it a "true +1"" but I kinda like these rims...

Does anyone have a similar set up, or any wheels that they think would be a better deal/price/look?

Yeah, they look kinda like the wheels that are on the VW R32, but I think they look pretty good...

IF you go to TireRack, and search the wheels they actually have a picture of them on a black '02 Proteg5. Mine's lowered with Pro-Kits, and in Lazer Blue, but it shows you what they would look like.


Protejay5, what rims would you suggest.. I'm open to alternatives!

Just make sure that with an 18 x 7.5 wheel that the offset is 48mm +. Do a comparison search of the Nero Zero M+S and you'll see that it is a bad-ass all around tire. This combo should fill the wheel well and look great.

Alright. I have come up with a couple different options for tires (Thank you TireRack!)
- Pirelli PZero Nero M+S
- BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDW
- Michilin Pilot Sport PS2

If I do a tire that sucks in winter, I would keep the stock wheels/tires and use them in the winter. Just because I don't want to die.

either the pzero nero's or the kdw-2's. make sure to get the 2's if you get the bf goodrich. also, the lowerst offset you want is +45, but +48 to be on the safe side

if your on a tight budget just make sure you have money left for new lugs, tires mounted and have the wheels balanced which will be around 140 im guessing, about 30 for lugs, 30 for tires mounted and about 80 for a good balancing, b/c my friend looked over the whole lug and balening thing and got kinda screwed. rims are sweet (alright)

Hey thanks, I hadn't even thought about that! Do you think it would be worthwile? I like the way they look, personally, especially 18"s tucked under a lowered P5...

i would say so, not a fan on the stock rims and new rims set your ride apart from eveyone elses also look good and with the 35 profile with lower will look sweet. DO IT (just watch out for potholes)

Good question... The set up that I have now would be around $1,500 for wheels and tires. I'd say the max max would be around $2,000.

What do you have in mind?
