Mobile mechanic rate fair? 2003 Protege5 AC Compressor

Hi all, I was quoted $200 bucks for a Mobile mechanic rate to replace my AC compressor, new belt (duh). Is that a fair price?? I have an 03 protege 5 hatchback. c

Does that include evacuating and recharging the AC system or is it just swap the compressor?

What part of the country are you located.

I live in california and if that price includes evacuating and recharging your AC system that's a steal. The evac and charge here alone costs about 150. Even if it's 200 just for swapping in the new compressor and belt (aside from the cost of the parts i'm assuming) that's still fair.

Reefertech here - $200 totally fair actually cheap! Just make sure he changes the condenser as well. And orifice/ txv valve block and filter drier / accumulator. When a compressor grenades it typically plugs all high side components and those condensers can’t be flushed with any reliability.
