mobil 1 vs Royal Purp oil

my friend who used to race legend cars did a test on different oils and viscosities and they found that Royal Purple and Mobile 1 offer the most horsepower but Mobile 1 is like a dollar cheaper so they stuck with Mobile 1 and so did I.

Planned to put Mobil 1 in after the break-in period (1st 500 km), but that never happened and now it just has whatever the shop put in on the first oil-change.

I have always used Mobil 1 on the rest of my cars however. It is what I am using in the MS6 now.

Never tried Royal Purple although I have friends who swear by it.

Mobil 1's additives burn fast. I've never had much long-term luck with it. Royal Purple and Redline are great, however, the price you pay will not net you any noticeable results.

Then again, this has just been my experience. I used Redline fluids for years, and still do.

I use Royal Purple in my MS3, and my brother uses it in his MSP. My mom uses Castrol Syntec in her MSP, and both oils have shown good results.(usa)

can i get your moms number :D

i need to discuss oil with her. heh.

no but i use mobil 1 in all my cars. never any consumption problem or burning.

I tought of using Motul oil after my 2nd oil change. Anyone have some experience with it? I used it in my last car and seemed good.

Personally, I'm going to use Mobil1 5w30 for the simple fact that it will work in both of my cars. Don't think Mobil1 comes in 5w20?

I remember reading somewhere that a certain Castrol synthetic or dino oil made in Germany was the way to go for turbocharged cars. Anyone read this/know about this or am I smoking crack?
