i like the styling but one of the things that makes the evo worth buying is the aftermarket. need to see how the new engine takes to mods, esp with the aluminum block

That's 'cause it's AWD. There's one wet-weather tire, one snow tire, one off-road tire and one High-performance tire, that way, you have grip with at least one tire in all conditions! Brilliant!!

I disagree. Don't get me wrong, I'd hit an Evo IX silly, but it looks like something I would draw when I was 9. The new one, with a smaller wing, is a bit more subtle. Factory rice FTL!

The front end looks too long and flat for the rest of the car. Everything in front of the windshield looks like it was smashed down slightly. Shorten up the front end just a bit and that car would have a gorgeous side profile. Also not a big fan of the wheels. I liked the gunmetal BBS wheels that the concept had, those just look like painted blah garbage on that car.

Im skeptical over the transmission. But I guess it will help launching and getting the best 0-60 time possible more ofter.
