Mitsu injectors?

OK, I was thinking of buying some aftermarket injectors for my MSP. So I call RC Engineering over in Cali to get some info on what kind of injectors would best suite our Callaway/Mazda turbo Protege setup. He asked me what was in there now, I went to go see and then I realized that we (well, me) had 2 injectors of one size/type and the other 2 were of a different size/type. 2 were purple w/ one part #, while the other 2 were Green w/ another part #... :wtf: I know that the RX7's have different sizes in their motor (1 set primary, 1 set secondary), but that kind of setup just does not work in an in-line 4 cyl engin, right?!?!! Well the RC guy looks up the injectors in his database and tells me that they are "Nipondenso" injectors that are spec for a Mitsubishi motor! He and I agreed that this all seemed a bit fishy... Anyway, on to my question... has anyone changed their injectors yet? if so, did they notice the 2 different sizes? and lastly, did u replace them with new ones of different sizes, or did u put all 4 the same??? I am sending 1 of each type of or stock injectors (at their expence :D ) for them to run some performance test on them for us. if u guys are interested in the results, let me know and I will post their results once I have them.

nah, i don't think that's TOO out of the ordinary. check under hood of a lot of the different car manufacturers and you'll find a load of mitsubishi parts (especially electronics). i'd say it's a good thing, the more compatibility with other cars/parts the more options you have. :D

Yea, I figured that. But why different sizes??? Thats a bit strange to me.

dude, half of our electrical systems are MITSUBISHI

Look at the logo on smaller fuse and capasitor boxes.

there u go dude

damn mechanics at this race shop i go to made fun of me when they saw it :)

U know mitsu don't just make car. In Asia they make everything kinda like GE, except they don't make light bulbs, hehe

Gee, different color code injectors sounds very suspicious to me! Even different manufacturers sounds bad. There's only 1 oxygen sensor and the ECM is trying to control rich/lean with different flowing injectors???

Let us know what the flow test results are!

Does this mean I can put a Ralliart sticker on my car now?

I know for a fact that my '03 P5 also has two different coloured fuel injectors. I think the outside ones are purple and the two middle ones are green, or could be the other way round.

That is completely normal.
Every protege has two purple and two green. They flow the same. I dont know the reason for the color code but they are spaced side by side. The flow is 280cc @43psi
We will be upgrading my injectors to 370cc soon.
If you have any questions i can help you with let me know
