i recently bought my msp, apparently it's had 5 previous owners and has had some minor work done to it. i happened to look under my car and i noticed the second O2 sensor is placed BEFORE the caty. my check engine light is coming on because of my second sensor. is there a reason that the o2 sensor is where it is, or is the person who did the exhaust on my car an idiot? The reason i'm asking is because my car seems to have an acceleration issue like i'm burning too rich and its driving me crazy.

You should have 2 cats someone may have deleted one of them. It runs rich because of the bad stock tune, you'll need to invest in an ssafc to fix that. As for the o2 sensor there's 2 ways to fix it, move it behind the cat or spend $5 and do the non fouler trick.

Where in va are you located?

Split second air fuel controller- you can get it in protege garage or other places online. The supermap it comes with takes away the hesitation and makes it run the way it was supposed to. And from what I've read on here it's very easy to tune if needed

i had that "second" oxygen sensor to. if it before the cat after the turbo in the pipe that turns back that an oxygen sensor for a wideband gauge. mine happens to have the sensor but no gauge.

thanks tweety. i guess ill start saving lol. and i have what seems to be an o2 that had been cut off, i'm assuming that a previous owner had an air/fuel gauge installed at some point in time.
