Will that tow hitch fit a p5?

Sorry, i wasn't notified of your post.

I don't think it fits a P5. The part number for this hitch is 11300. According to Curt Mfg.'s website, the part number for a P5 would be 11249.
I'm not sure how different the rear end on a P5 is but it seems like it wouldnt fit. Sucks for both of us really. :/

The P5 is a couple inches shorter than a sedan. Maybe that was the issue. Seems like it'd only really be a problem if you had a P5 hitch on an MSP, not the other way around.

Is it still available? Do you feel like shipping it to Santa Cruz, 95062? If so, hit me with a shipped price!

I'll PM you since you don't seem to be getting notifications.

Well s***. I waited long enough to see that they're under 125 shipped new. If you can lower your price, I'd rather buy from a fellow Mazda owner, but I don't wanna pay new hitch prices.
I'll wait another day or two to hear from you. Yours has all the hardware and stuff?

Hey man, Sorry!!!

I was having a HUGE pain trying to login!! (mad)

Anyway to answer you, YES, the Hitch comes with all hardware, even the little wires to fish the bolts into the frame. It comes with the hitch receiver too. I bought it with a wire harness but I didnt get a chance to remove it from my MSP. I am flexible on price. If you want we can work something out via PM. In fact, Ill respond to your PM too. Thanks for waiting for my response. Ill try to be more responsive, haha.

All good. (drinks)
PM right back atcha.
How's 90 bucks shipped to Santa Cruz, ca 95062?

The trailer hitch does not work on an MSP. The hitch was made for a Protege with no rear skirt. I'm not cutting up my car, so...

**** I'm bummed. Not the seller's fault, but it still sucks huge donkey dicks.

If anyone with an ES or LX needs a trailer hitch, I'll let it got for cheaper than I bought it. I don't even want to look at the damn thing.

@Natey - are you on Facebook? There are Protege groups on there that might be interested. Certainly more exposure.

I bailed my Facebook account a few years ago. That's a great suggestion though. Maybe I'll lurk onto my wifey's page and see if I can unload it there.

lol If you were close I'd just hand it over to you for the sake of old school 24/7 sunlight silver P5 brotherhood. This wasn't a problem in my P5! I miss that little Shaggin' Wagon.

I've taken a 2008 mazda 3 2.0 L engine and put it into a 2007 mazda 5 2.3 L l, the motor is practically the same and it fits right in, only modified a couple of things but everything that wasnt the same i was able to take off the original mazda 5 motor. The reason i needed to swap out was because the person i bought the car from blew the motor and I bought it expecting to have to find another motor and I did, the 2.0 L mazda 3 engine mounts the same as the 2.3 mazda 5 engine did, but now that I had taken the old motor out and installed the new motor and hooked everything up, I then attempted to start the car and the engine tried to Crank but it would never actually start, it felt like it wanted to turn over but it would never do it. I went back and double checked everything, the wiring harness, plugs, etc and everything was put together and I tried again and held the throttle down but it would not turn.... I need to know what's the problem and how I can fix this issue please. Could it be the computer needs to be reflashed or a gas problem???
